Noah and I walked past the main section, where a few students were scattered around with their laptops and coffee cups, until we got to the back , a small nook near the window that barely anyone used, at least that's where he stopped.
It felt hidden. The tall bookshelves around us blocked most of the view from the rest of the room, and sunlight slipped through the blinds in soft lines, falling across the table.
“This spot’s perfect,” Noah said, setting the school laptop on the table.
I sat next to him, the chair squeaking a little as I pulled it out.
“It’s kind of cozy,” I said quietly.
“Yeah,” he murmured, glancing at me before turning on the laptop. “Perfect for… projects and other things”
