Beckett stands so quickly his chair scrapes backward. “No fucking way.” I recognize him too. Older now. Different haircut. But the face is unmistakable. The person taking pictures of my humiliation freshman year wasn’t Amber. It wasn’t Bryce. It wasn’t Jamie. It was Tyler. Beckett’s cousin. And suddenly I understand why Jamie thought she was caught in the middle. Because Tyler hadn’t just known about the bullying. He had been there from the beginning.

"Hey, wait!" He doesn't stop, we're at the edge of the pool. "No, wait! I'm not with extra clothes! At least let me take off my shirt..." Too late.
