Steve pov: The blood in my veins boiled as I stepped forward, my voice shaking with fury. "How dare you hurt my brother," I roared at the group of bullies. The crowd around us fell silent, their eyes locked on us as they recorded the scene on their phones. My fist connected with a bully's face in a satisfying thud, sending a jolt of energy through my arm. Another bully appeared and blocked my way, trying to stop me from hitting. I felt a wave of anger surge through me and I couldn't help but lash out.

Everything happened so fast but for once, I showed a level of confidence I had never unlocked. In the few weeks I’d been in the school, I’ve seen many people get hurt. Dozens of students get bullied every day by people like Dexter and Maddy and I see what happens when they try to get up, they’re thrown right back to the floor, more bruised than they were before so like them, I go with the flow and save myself the trouble. Fighting them only makes their game more fun and I learned that the hard way.
