Nolan picked up the remote for the heater on his desk and turned it on, raising the room's temperature and creating a comfortable warmth. Instead of immediately sitting down at his desk, he walked to another part of the room, revealing an adjoining lounge room that resembled a house. It featured a king-sized bed, a shower cubicle, and a closet.

She asked to be excused for half an hour to freshen up and get settled in her room.
