Burt Curtis Novels & Stories

It was the confirmation enzo needed, if only to ensure he didn’t put the wrong man’s daughter through the wringer. “Software development,” she said, just like he knew she would. “But he’s retired, now. He tried to start his own company way back when, but it didn’t work out.” Goddamn right it didn’t work out. “He’s done mostly consulting work ever since. Maybe you’ve heard of him? Aron Rumero.”

I realized that Curtis was down to see me at noon. My watch showed the time to be 9 am. My wolf growled in aggression. Indeed, Curtis was not our favorite person. In fact, I hated him. He made the elite, we took all ten of them because we needed the extra hands. I sent Chad to talk to Brent because he was not a threat and his daughter needed to be with him. He was retired, and since then, he’s been badly managing his bar. Nonetheless, he was issued a warning that if he went back to his old profession, I will obliterate him.

I asked with a bit of humor to try and make him smile since it looked like he could use a smile for himself. He smiled and nodded his head. "I suppose it would help you out here. I don't need anyone too serious dear. Just need someone who's willing to do work but you will never be alone with a patient for your own safety and protection." "I understand, One of your guards named Martin said he would be willing to protect me." "Ah yes him, he is our best guard." Mr. Baxter spoke with a bit of a smirk.

*** Moments later, Donovan was driving them home and they passed by a sign post that warned youths to desist from cultism and keep all schools cult free. Her eyes were on the billboard and Donovan noticed where her eyes were. He scoffed and she was forced to look at him. Boma's eyes upon him were questioning. She could not understand why he was mocking the post when the message was a good one. Then she immediately realized that since he was a cultist, there was no way he would support such a message. He would only support such a message if he was ready or willing to change. And looking at his reaction right now, that was not going to happen any time soon.

"No surprise there. His son's a total waste of space, and he couldn't succeed if his life depended on it. So now he's teaching the grandson himself." "Mr. Benton, what's your plan? We'll follow your lead." Chauncey's voice was low as he spoke. "We show respect when we need to. We can't give people reasons to talk behind our backs." He couldn't wrap his head around how Curtis had recovered either. Ever since he'd heard about the Gallaghers' strength, he'd been scheming. Eventually, he'd gotten close to Curtis' son, Bosco Gallagher, who was a total pushover.

Burt instructed icily. He was one of Flint's most powerful death squad assassins, and it was his duty to carry out all of Flint's orders without question. Flint had taken him in when he was five years old, and ever since then, he owed Flint his life. Burt firmly believed that Flint's word was his command. Even though he was already a transcendent realm expert, he remained entirely loyal to Flint. He was Flint's most useful subordinate, the one who'd done countless dirty deeds for him.

Alpha Dalton raised his free hand to stop his soldiers before saying, “I have always respected your father and that’s why I picked you to be my beta -” “What are you trying to say, huh? That you did me a favor by choosing me as your beta?” Marcus intervened. “- but a pack won’t last long with a rival Alpha and Beta.” Alpha Dalton continued. He sounded slightly enraged that Marcus had yet again interrupted him but he was trying to keep his composure. “What do you mean?” Marcus asked with a gulp. “You think I don’t know what you’ve set your eyes on?” Alpha Dalton revealed much to Marcus’s disappointment.

Clever Janice. He nods, opens the back door, and cracks his knuckles. “Give me a name, and I’ll ensure he doesn’t come back here.” “Niall Horan,” Janice quickly responds, naming her abusive ex-boyfriend. That jerk is a disgrace to the magical world. He’s a totally asshole wolf. “Stay safe, ladies.” “Thank you. Thank you so much!” Janice kisses the bouncer on the cheek, and I think I see him blush.

He did this to himself, next time he would watch what he said and where he said it. Now he had to find someone who can interrupt the list for him because most of the letters formed words he didn’t know the meaning of. ************************ “Here is our new heir.” Stanley cheered as Curtis's legs slipped on the wet grass as he fell back into the manure that he had already gathered. His lips twisted into a grimace as he imagined how he looked like. Sadly, this was not the worst thing that had happened to Curtis since he started the chore list that was given to him by Rima. “You seem to be having some trouble there.”

Coach Burt seemed amused by the swift takedown and opted to try out another opponent against Rick. The amused brute seemed to delight wholeheartedly in this new activity and slammed the other boys with ease onto the mat. He had gone down the list, causing minor injury with each as he glared from his knees on the mat at Casey who had had just about enough of him. The smaller teen had not forgotten just how callous Rick could be and had been aiming to keep his wits about him.
