Kymil protested with his eyes almost burst out tears as Edith grilled and pinch his ears that she almost ripped it off his skin. But what’s more interesting was the thing Kymil called Edith ‘Ma’. “You didn’t told you had a son,” I spoke, alternating my eyes from Edith to Kymil, and from Kymil to Edith. Edith raised one brow as she face me, “You didn’t ask.” Right. I had not asked her. I shrugged my shoulders and shifted my gaze at her son hiding behind her. “Tell him I will be waiting outside.” My legs waddled softly and jumped on a tree. Too tall that I can see the entire camp. Edith told me the army has a total of only a hundred amateur cadets. And the experienced warriors were stationed a

"She assumes she will die. And she fights accordingly." "With all due respect, Commander." A voice rang out from the front row. A cadet stepped forward. He was huge—Alpha build, broad shoulders, hair shaved close to the scalp. He had the arrogant sneer of a House Vane relative. He smelled of musk and entitlement. "This is a waste of time," the cadet said. Looking at Neoma with open disgust. "She survived because you let her dance. In a real fight, I would snap her neck before she could blink. Why are we learning from meat?"

“The what corps?” “Remnant Archival Corps, ma’am!” Cadet Anya said, her voice tight with formal terror. “After the… the Great Unshackling, and the collapse of Primary Curation, some of us… we didn't want to stop. We just wanted to… to help. So we reformed. We preserve endangered knowledge! We’re non-invasive! Mostly!” Kael lowered his piping bag. “And the ‘situation’?”

The main hall was still empty when I asked the system for an update. “All RGT Selects have transitioned to advanced training with the five-year cadets,” it replied. “Except Cadet Orin, who remains in Isolation Chamber Nine.” So they’d all made it through. I had passed reflection training last. But apparently, I wasn’t the only one still left behind. I was just about to leave when the door to Chamber Nine hissed open. Orin stepped out.

Finally, everyone gets their diplomas and sits and now, it’s the moment we’ve all waited for. “For those of you who don’t know,” Alpha Michael begins, gesturing on either side of the stage, “these are the current members of the our elite squads, Alpha Squad,” he says and Raptor and his team step forward, nod and step back. “Beta Squad,” he says and Javelin and her team step forward and nod, before stepping back. “And finally, our Gamma Squad or what we affectionately call our C-Squad.” Saber and her team step forward, nod, and return to their positions. “This year, one of our cadets who was in the running for one of the few open positions on our elite squads found her mate and became a Luna

Sapphire Palace, Lithonia Kingdom "With this golden badge, you are declared as Lithonia's best soldier. Cadet Owen Rouge, today you are authorized as corporal. You are officially appointed as soldiers of the Royal Guard Division!" said the King while pinning a gold badge on the uniform that Owen was wearing. Owen bowed respectfully, trying to hold back the tears that nearly spilled out. He had no idea that today, he was no longer a cadet in the soldier training, but a corporal in the Royal Guard Division.

and next to her, another male cadet shouts: “I’m Ecto!” Soon, all cadets with the exception of Yssy has said or is saying "I’m Ecto." “All right, squad. You know what to do,” Regie says and then, pointing with two index fingers, roars: “FAAAAALLL IN!” The cadets of Camp Unplugged all lay themselves down in the bus’s path, spreading themselves so there’s no room to maneuver. Colonel Anders sticks his head out the driver’s window and screams: “Mub yor gutdam battoks!”

The three hundred cadets instantly dropped to one knee, bowing their heads in profound terror and reverence as their Emperor and Empress stood before them. Dominic walked to the center of the failed simulation grid, his heavy combat boots crunching against the stone. His arm remained locked around Clara’s waist, keeping her flush against his side while Silas rested calmly in her arms. Dominic looked down at Cadet Kael, Cadet Lin, and Cadet Nereus, his molten gold eyes burning with absolute, uncompromising authority.

Also, this decision would not affect their assessment at all, the grades for the one backing off were final. Creed knew this would happen. This was not a bloodbath, but an assessment of caliber. Since the Instructors have gauged all of their calibers already, authorities wouldn't mind streamlining the process. This announcement filtered out 33 more cadets from the 40, leaving only 7 who want to take it further. Creed wasn't really interested in seeing who won, since he wasn't really going to get anything out of it. He had seen most of it and was ready to leave.

He nodded to a civilian and stepped onto a carefully maintained path. The pavement was barely wide enough to accommodate four people running side by side, abreast, or two columns of two, which was the way that cadets moved from place to place. Just one of the methods by which they were taught to follow orders, work as a team, and focus on group objectives.
