Rowan was right behind him. Cael raised his hands. From the glowing glyph on his skin, fire erupted — dark, consuming, twisting toward Lyra. Rowan tackled her out of the way. The flames roared against the stone wall behind them. “Elder-branding,” Rowan hissed. “He’s not Cael anymore. He’s a vessel.” Darius stepped forward. “Then we break the vessel.” --- The Battle of Trust and Fire The fight was chaotic. Cael moved with terrifying speed, as if driven by something far older than his body. He launched blasts of corrupted moonfire, sending healers and guards fleeing for cover.

Scene 4: The Surrender Suddenly, a wave of gold and black fire surged from Caelum’s chest, knocking Iris and Aiden backward. The boy’s scream pierced the air as Vaelor’s shadow coiled around him, forming a crown of twisting thorns. “YES,” Vaelor roared. “LET ME IN. TOGETHER, WE—” “I command you,” Caelum shouted, his small body trembling. “I’m not your vessel. You’re mine!” The shadow writhed, shrieking in fury as Caelum’s form glowed blindingly bright. Chains of light and shadow erupted from his arms, wrapping around Vaelor’s essence and dragging it inward.

“ Just a bit woozy sweetheart nothing more.” Robin’s attention was diverted by this sudden move of her parents and Mike, taking advantage of his distraction Cain barrelled towards him shifting mid-air. There was a nauseating crack as he slammed into Robin and sent him flying to the ground. Robin groaned before palming the back of his head. He looked at the blood that was dripping off his hand and glared at Cain’s wolf as he muttered, “ You are dead, you f*cker .” And then he shifted as well, causing the warehouse to crack and groan. Reyna stared at the two wolves as Robin jumped on Cain like a beast as he started clawing and biting.

While everyone gaped, someone soon noticed what was going on.

Alpha Cyrus said and that angered the young boy. He attacked him once more but Cyrus just used his arm as a shield and he could not even move an inch closer. He was again thrown across the room leaving cracks on the walls and when he was about to get up, Alpha Cyrus stepped on his chest, with so much pressure that he is now barely breathing.

This isn’t Ryker, either, so it must be Tenebris. “I don’t believe we’ve been properly introduced,” he says as he sits down next to me. “Ruin introduced me as Tenebris, but since you’re family now, you can call me Caleb.” I turn my head toward him and frown. The acrid scent coming from him doesn’t match his soft voice or his seemingly gentle demeanor. Using Halo’s gift, I close my eyes and reopen them so I can get a good look at him. But even how he looks surprises me.

Kael's defenses crumbled. His dark portal began to collapse. The master of darkness snarled. "No...this can't be." Cassius approached him. "Brother," he said. Kael's eyes widened. "Cassius...no." My eyes were fixated on a shirtless Caelum. His skin was tanned and golden, he had a full sleeve of tattoos on one arm. A voice said from behind me, I cut off the growl threatening to come out. “Hello Jessica." I smiled stiffly. Robin wasn't here to rescue me this time.

Robin kneeled in front of her , his hand glowing with a greenish golden light as he slowly checked the egg shell .
