Sasha’s POV. My two plans had failed. Woefully. The fear that gripped me when Galileo suddenly showed up and shot the cabman dead shoved my sadness about the failed plans far away. When he threw the car door open, my heart that seemed to have stopped working a few seconds ago started to beat erratically. There was no hiding or denying it: I was terrified. Although I knew Lorenzo wouldn’t want to his men to do any damage to his ‘commodity’, I also knew that my attempt to escape might have made him change his mind.
