Elysia said without mercy and that was when Elara noticed me. Her eyes lifted briefly—just a glance. Then she looked away again like I wasn’t worth the attention. My jaw tightened. I stepped forward as Elysia hauled her upright again and immediately knocked her back down in less than four seconds. Elara hit the dirt with a frustrated sound. After a quick shower, she dried off, applied lotion, and slipped into a short, elegant dress. She combed her hair, then hurried out of her room.
