A shock wave passed through the ground, and the undead resumed their frenzy and lunged at him, but they never touched the ground, they flew several meters above the ground while black spikes protruded from the earth and pierced their body. He took a spear from the weapons on his back, twirled it, and slammed into the ground, the shockwave sweeping away the nearby undead. The shooters resumed their attack, but each of them disappeared around him. "Spear Art." He spun the spear and threw it with incredible force at a group of shooters, but it stuck to the rock rather than any of them. "Dagger Art." This time, he took 2 battered daggers and slashed the undead around him, with exceptional skill.

Raeya suggested. Right on cue, the line from headquarters called. Daru accepted the call and Sir Vance’s next words went everything to a standstill. “I would like to congratulate the teams in the East. In less than ten minutes, you were able to capture a conjurer. Other teams in North, West, and South, continue your covert operations while we ask our beloved guests some questions. That’s all. Back to your positions.” After that, pictures of the conjurer in a brown cape and hood all bound and surrounded by warriors flooded the screen. Raeya recognized the face of that conjurer from the wanted list that they had to memorize during the last civil war.

I asked, leaning down close to her ear. "This spear is called the Spear of Death because our pack ancestors forged it using pure venomous poisons, One deep pierce straight to the chest will make you beg for death, but it takes ten agonizing days before it finally kills its victim in the worst pain imaginable, i bet you don't want that, do you?" "You... you don't scare me," Kate screamed through clenched teeth, her voice cracking as sweat poured down her forehead. I raised the spear higher, aiming the glowing, poisoned tip directly toward the center of her chest.

“Is it over? It…it turned into rats.” “All the rats are dead.” “Are you sure? I’ll come back with my familiars and enough vanquishing potion to—” “No,” everyone says at the same time. “You’ve been weakened, Callie.” Lucas slips his arm around me again. “As have I. We need to go.” He picks me up before I can protest and starts walking away from the alley. “Wait,” I say and push out of his arms. “What is it?” “The vent. I…I need to recover it.”

Even if I'm against time, it's better to be careful since I only have one chance. I grab my spear from below, it's at my side now at the height of my waist and my hand grabs it from above, I let go of it just for a moment while I raise it above my head to take advantage of its inertia and start pulling my arm back with all my strength. now the spear is at shoulder height, I lift my foot in front of me and shoot the spear with all the weight and impulse of my body towards the jackal that's closest to Helena.

She instinctively knew this would allow her to align her sight with the spear's tip. Nueva sucked in a deep breath, stretching her lungs to the fullest before launching the spear with considerable power at the intended target, slicing through the creature's ever-changing form. The ice spread from the gaping wound, engulfing the black veil in frosty light blue. The creature screeched and retracted its lengthening shadows like an octopus collecting its arms.

the ladies chorused. The lady faced the altar, and she said to Vivian, “Rejoice, for you’ll sleep now, little one.” She held the spear in a manner that had its sharp point focused down, she directed it to Vivian’s heart. “You’ll be our strength,” she said. Vivian’s breathing increased. “You’ll be our new weapon,” the lady added, and brought the spear down for Vivian’s chest, but the spear didn’t touch Vivian as it exploded into tiny bits.

Honed her vision. The weapons had been set aside. She noticed that when she entered the cave. She caught the gleam of a giant battle axe, scrolled with ancient runes down the handle and twisted designs on the blade. She lunged for it, her adrenaline and need to fight overpowering the drugs that slowed her. The axe was heavy. It took all her strength to heft it, and when she turned, she stumbled. She flew blindly forward, yelling out as she did. “Alexander Phaethon!” He turned at the last second and dodged, the raised blade that he’d intended to sink into his alpha glistening above his head, ready for her instead.

I slash at it with a cry, but he snaps it back and thrusts it again. We circle each other and jab our weapons, then dart them back again. I slice the side of his body, but he doesn't react to the pain. He slashes at the air, and I tell myself that the next time he thrusts, I'll sink low and thrust the spear upward. I wait for him to try to stab me. It's my only chance. I can't hesitate. Sweat beads my upper lip. I feel oddly calm now. I watch his feet. He steps toward and I bend my knees. With all the force that I can muster, I jab at him with the spear. A cry finally leaves his lips. I drop the spear and he stumbles backward, clutching his bleeding abdomen.

Slowly, the surgical blade moved away from my mother’s neck, and the tactical officers hidden in the shadows began to shift into position. I held my breath, waiting for that critical moment…
