The silver spearhead and the red ropes tied at the junction of the spearhead and shaft were dazzling. Her father had named it the Rose Spear because it was both sharp and beautifully adorned with rose carvings. Hidden within the roses were mechanisms that released small arrows when pressed. The red ribbon swayed with the spear’s movements, making it a weapon that struck fear into her enemies' hearts.

Aimed it at her floating form. I was too far away. Could not reach him in time. The rebel threw the spear. It flew straight and true toward Elvanya's heart. But before the spear hit Elvanya screamed one final time. This scream was different. It shook the ground.

From the stronghold ahead, accompanied by a buzzing sound, a long spear shimmering with purple-golden light came flying through the air. Bang! With a muffled sound, this long spear fell in an arc, piercing into the ground. Upon impact, the spear shaft trembled rapidly. Biefren’s face darkened. “It’s someone with hostility, James.” James replied calmly, “We’re the hostile ones.” Suddenly, an arrogant voice resounded in the void. “I don’t care who you monsters are. Whoever dares to pass this spear shall face doom!” Biefren sneered, “Ha, he’s quite confident! Shall I have a go, James?”

It had chosen him. ⸻ They returned to camp just before sunrise. Whispers spread fast. The Moonblooded now held the legendary spear. And with it, the hopes of all who followed him. Brian took Alex’s hand in front of the gathered warriors and raised it high. “We fight not just to survive,” he said, voice strong. “We fight for the right to choose our mates, to protect our Omegas, to end centuries of pain. Under one banner. Under one moon.”

Swirling my spear with belligerence, I took the pleasure of knocking the club away from her hand with a single strike. Without hesitation I lunged forward; I snatched it up, my motion fluid. She tried to recover, but it was too late. With all the strength and fury I could muster, I drove my spear forward into her chest. Her momentum broke; for a brief second she came to a standstill. The image of Mehan flashed through my mind once more, and I thrust the spear deeper into her chest. “This is for Mehan.” I muttered, pulling out my spear, and she slumped to the ground, dead.

The dead warrior twisted the spear that was stuck in Caleb's shoulder and Caleb let out a loud growl of pain. This caused the dead warrior to go off balance and gave Caleb the space to get up from where he laid. He stood up with speed and precision, as if the spear that was stuck in his shoulder was not there, and delivered a clean strike to the dead warriors head, cutting it clean off. "Told you you will die first," Caleb said as he spit blood on the dead warriors body.
