Chapter 7 KIARA’S POV I stared at the gold band on my finger as we walked out of the courthouse, and for the first time in my life, I felt like I was suffocating. Married. I was actually married to Silva Blackwood. The ink on that certificate wasn't even dry yet, but it felt like a brand on my skin. I, Kiara Monroe—no, Blackwood now—the woman who built an empire from nothing, had just signed away my independence for the sake of a tiny heartbeat I could barely feel yet.

Ariana spun toward Liora instinctively, fire flaring protectively as chains snapped and she caught her before she fell. When the smoke cleared, Serena was gone. The clearing was ruined—scorched earth, shattered stones, unconscious rogues scattered like debris. Ariana held Liora tightly, relief and exhaustion crashing over her in equal measure. Liora groaned weakly. “Please tell me you didn’t kill her.” Ariana let out a shaky breath. “No.” “Good,” Liora murmured. “That would’ve been too easy.” As warriors rushed in, Kael’s presence hit her—familiar, grounding, fierce. He reached her side in seconds, hands gentle as they examined her, her stomach, her injuries.

I responded with a smirk. “Ohh really, well, I heard from Xander that after this trip you will be assigned with crazy Nora on a job.” “Ohh so you call her crazy too, huh?” I asked, laughing. “Well everyone who's met her calls her crazy Kiara, especially after the last fire stunt she pulled,” she responded as she let out a little laugh. “So just be careful with that crazy woman okay, she is a remarkable person to be paired with, but she is just as dangerous Kiara,” Jade said as she stared at me intently.

So what is different now? “Where is Kiara?” I questioned with a sense of urgency. Her smile widened and I demanded once more stepping closer so she could see the anger behind my eyes. “I said Where is Kiara?” “Leaving the compound. She insisted on meeting the outer patrols herself. You know her… always believing the best in people. The perfect little angel.” The words land like rocks in my chest. “What patrols?” “The ones Eaton touched during his encounter at the mating ceremony,” she replies. Her voice is too calm.

He stepped closer, closing the distance between them. “You don’t have to explain yourself,” Hyde replied, his voice icy now, sharp with an edge of fury. “But I’ll tell you something, Alonzo. Kiara isn’t some naive little thing you can manipulate. She’s smarter than you think. And you’ll never use her as a pawn in your game."

Kyle could barely talk, he was still in so much pain but he wanted to prove that he was strong. "Darling, I don't care who you play catch with so long as that person isn't Mia. Do you understand me?" She twisted his hand before she pushed him to the floor and walked away. She grabbed Mia's wrist and led her out of the hallway. Mia felt like she was being dragged so she struggled for Lakshmi to let go of her. "I'm sorry. Was I hurting you?" Lakshmi asked Mia the moment Mia forcefully seperated her wrist from Lakshmi's grip.

She suddenly heard an angry growl inside of her, she was startled as she paid rapt attentions to listen to the voice again, and suprisingly she heard the growl again. "Kiara?" She called out disbelievingly, she'd had never believed that her wolf, Kiara would be also devastated like she was to express her anger. "You don't want to get on my bad side today, do you? " It was her father's commanding voice that Jolted her away from her thought.

"YOU will not do any of my acts earlier," I said pertaining to the thievery that I did and she automatically agreed, all eyes on me. I just smiled and throw the seeds of the apple that I was eating earlier. "To what do I call you for, Kid?" "I am Adriana and this is my sister, Kera," she said as an introductory for her and her sister whose still glued to her body, still shaking. I tried reaching out to her by flashing my smile but it only make her hide himself harder than before.

she asks with interest. "Well, my name is Kiara summer Tennyson and my birthday is on 15 April. I love to listen to songs, and I love horror movies." I finish. "You like horror movies?" Ryder questions. I nod. "I love horror movies too," he tells me with a huge grin. Aww, he is adorable. "Well, we can watch a horror movie together if you want?" I tell him, and he nods enthusiastically. When dinner ends, I wish goodnight to everyone and go to my room. I facetime Keith and he answers on the second ring.

The blonde woman screamed as she ran towards Karish, her breasts bouncing up and down with each step. "Meli!" Karish replied with a big smile on her face. I saw the blonde woman jump in Karish's arms and wrap her legs around his waist. WHO THE FUCK IS IT! I screamed in his face.
