Calling Siren Head Novels & Stories

The others eyed Zierno and Edward’s garb greedily. But not this one. He’s shrewd. When he only stared at them, one thief prompted him. “Demitri?” The leader turned to the rest. “Get Sirus.” Another nodded and rode back into the trees. Sirus? What’s a ‘Sirus’? Zierno groaned inwardly. Riding back for someone meant they had a camp close. Edward was perceptive enough to shoot him a worried look. Don’t start whining again. Zierno willed.

It's four in the morning and as usual, I have to go to the bathroom. Unfortunately for me, I am creeped out by the sirens singing on the water. Should I get into my car to get away from them, surely they are here for me. I'm not ready to leave Aiden or Brianna. In our own weird and strange way we are a family, and families stick together.

A hidden panel slid back, revealing an antiquated brass terminal a manual interface that predated the Senator’s digital reach. "I need the sequence from the silk," Lucas said, his fingers hovering over the brass keys. Elena read the silver stitches. "Alpha-Seven-Niner... Weaver... Omega... Zero." Lucas punched in the code. For a heartbeat, nothing happened. Then, the building's siren changed pitch. The frantic, high-pitched scream shifted to a low, rhythmic hum. On the monitors in the hallway, the countdown froze at 12 SECONDS. THERMAL SUPPRESSION SYSTEM ACTIVATED. GAS VENTING ENGAGED.

Asher whispered, his voice trembling as more figures gathered, slowly beginning to rappel down to the ground one after the other. Asher and I turned to one another in disbelief, and a little denial. “Asher,” I croaked, glancing back to the cabinet of bows. “I think you need to sound the sirens.” The words sat in my ears for a split second before I reacted, smashing the siren button on the wall, their wail sounding out in the distance, only fueling my terror more.

"There’s a blind spot in the sensor grid near the servants' entrance. If we—" A sharp, rhythmic chirping cut through her words. Silas stiffened. He reached into his inner jacket pocket and pulled out a sleek, black smartphone—not the burner he had been using, but his official Mann Security device. He looked at the screen, and his face went deathly pale. "It’s Richard," Silas said, his voice barely a breath. The room went vacuum-still. Kaela’s jaw tightened, her hands clenching into fists at her sides.

The rush, the thrill, the adrenaline… It reminded me of my high-school days, sneaking into the theater with friends after hours. Saxon’s voice came softly through my earpiece. “I’m in. Keep your eyes open. And… if anything goes wrong, just run.” “I’ll be fine,” I whispered, scanning the gate. “How far in are you?” “Almost at the inner hall. But listen, I have to switch off my phone now. The deeper rooms are protected by signal sensors… one wrong beep and the alarms go off.” “Wait—” I started, but the line clicked. Silence.

A loud, electronic siren chirped once, followed by a cold, familiar voice booming through a megaphone. "Vivian Vance! Step out of the vehicle with your hands on your head! Mr. Kane is waiting."

The hum of the air conditioning cut out, leaving a silence so heavy it felt physical. "Sophie?" Sienna’s voice was a high-pitched needle in the dark. "I'm here. I'm right here. Dad’s security is outside. We’re safe." The Alpha’s Interference Silas moved to the next phase of the "Breaking" protocol. He pulled a tablet from his vest and initiated a localized broadcast.

“You ever want to hear what the enemy’s actually plotting?” Carolina felt the prickle of something electric at her scalp. “Could be useful. Or dangerous.” Mira’s grin didn’t fade. “Both. But today, it’s only useful.” She handed Carolina an earpiece. Static flooded her head; then, clear as math, a voice she didn’t know: “Sweep at sixteen-zero-zero. Old power yard to ramps. All hands expected. Secondary protocol, subdue but do not detain. Repeat—subdue, not detain.”

I didn't use complex codes; I used raw, brutal backdoors to tap directly into the city’s emergency police scanners and traffic cameras. The audio fed through the tinny speakers immediately. "...multiple casualties at Aurelia Holdings. Massive structural damage. Suspects are heavily armed, moving in unmarked black SUVs..." The Elders were tearing the city apart looking for me. I picked up the burner phone. My fingers were shaking so badly I misdialed twice before finally punching in the twelve-digit encrypted frequency I had committed to memory. The line rang in the darkness. "Kira." Aziel’s voice came through the receiver, the desperation in his voice completely shattered the walls around my
