I stroked her arm to reassure her. He wouldn’t kill us. At least, I didn’t think so. But he was also unpredictable. There was a fifty-fifty chance if he got his blood money back, he might decide to kill us. But I knew he would never let us go, because that was how Frank was. He would rather destroy his possessions than let someone else have them.
