How the Tables Turn

How the Tables Turn

But when their eyes met, he offered a polite smile and a small nod, as if to say congratulations from across the chaos. “Okay, everyone, shut up!” Ellis clapped her hands dramatically, standing at the head of the table with a plastic cup of soda. “We’re here to celebrate our very own word wizard — Amelia Hart — who, somehow, found time between tutoring sessions and caffeine overdoses to win a freaking campus award!” Everyone cheered. Amelia blushed, sinking into her chair as laughter echoed around her. “She acts humble,” Callum said, leaning in, “but she totally practiced her acceptance speech in the mirror.”

Enslaving The Moon Goddess

Enslaving The Moon Goddess

Her nose inhales the dust of the age of the courtroom that smells of old rags and the room's energy that weighs the amount of the sins it has held. The guard stood before the center of the room halting Elora's steps also. At the center of the room is a large round table made of dark, polished wood with intricate carvings that hint at the werewolves's heritage and traditions. The table is illuminated subtly to draw attention to the centrality of discussions and decision-making.

The lost hybrid

The lost hybrid

I have a feeling that Dante might have let slip that I had talked to the Moon Goddess again but I do not know for sure. Amora is the last to walk through the door. The others have already met me at the table and had a seat while waiting for her. I created this table circular for our meetings. During formal events I tend to use a rectangular table but for times like this a circle table helps to stimulate conversation. "Thank you all for coming so quickly." I say once everybody has a seat. "So, are you finally going to tell us what has had you so happy and excited since yesterday?" Dante asks.

Turning the Tables

Turning the Tables

“This round we’re only betting money, not people.” I snorted. “Once I take all your money, betting people will probably be your only option, won’t it?” Taylor burst into laughter. “Such big talk! Let’s begin then!” The rules were simple: both sides would roll five dice, and whoever had the highest total value would win. For the warm-up round, one thousand dollars was on the line. As Taylor and I started shaking our cups, anyone could see that Taylor was way more skilled. She lifted the cup to her ear, shaking rhythmically with both hands for nearly a full minute before slamming it down.

Twin Alphas' Celestial Luna

Twin Alphas' Celestial Luna

If the power I’m sensing is as ancient and consuming as I think, a fully formed magic circle is about the only thing that has any hope of containing or channelling it. Today has been a much needed day of rest. The whole pack gathered for breakfast and dinner and it was just what we needed to remind us of what we are fighting for. The top table is getting more and more crowded. It’s actually more of a cluster of tables now. Liberty made the controversial decision to have visitors such as myself, dine with the pack leaders. There is now a table for the betas, off to the left of the main table. Hunter, Esme, Uriel, Gabriel, and now Lottie, all sit there. The table to the right is occupied by my

Absolutely amazing! I loved both books! The main story arc is very impressive. I love that I can feel the emotions of the characters as I read these books. The best part about this book is how interconnected the characters are to one another. I would definitely recommend both books!!

This book (and the first as well) is awesome!! The author really takes time to develop her characters and story and follows through with all the different story arcs and twists and turns! But, what is the third book in this trilogy?? Am I missing something, or is it not published yet?

The Hero King

The Hero King

So he needed to finish things with Camelia. After all, he still had some spanking to do. While Sol and Camelia were enjoying themselves, Lilith was having a serious headache as she sat in the main seat of the conference room while facing four people. For some weird reason -that she ignored- Mars had decided that the room where the court would happen and the greatest noble would discuss should have a round table. It was truly outrageous since such a table made put the king at the same level as the other nobles seated, but Mars never really cared about the rules of nobility and the likes.

CITADEL

CITADEL

Citadel Lower Rings, Market Vault The passkey glimmered behind the trader’s glass, a sliver of tech small enough to fit in a palm, powerful enough to open half the Citadel’s veins. Abigail’s eyes locked on it like it was oxygen. “Now,” she whispered. Samuel muttered something about bad ideas but moved anyway. He slipped a hand beneath his jacket, pulling the trader’s attention with a clink of credits while Abigail slid the case’s latch. The siren wailed.

The Billionaire Alpha's Revenge

The Billionaire Alpha's Revenge

The air smelled of money and thin oxygen. In the center of the main chamber sat the Round Table. There were nine seats. Seat Number 4—marked with the rune of the serpent—was dark. The hologram that usually projected Cain’s face was extinguished. The other members were present, either in person or via high-fidelity holographic proxy. They were the invisible kings of the world—arms dealers, media moguls, tech giants. But today, they were silent. They were waiting. At the head of the table, the largest chair swiveled around.

They have someone to come home to. *** The round table is a thick slab of scarred wood that doesn't so much as shake when my knife sinks an inch into the marred surface. My knife is the last to go in and means the meeting is brought to order. The men look at me, meeting my eyes, trusting that I can control Beast and be with them on equal ground.

Fated to the Werewolf King

Fated to the Werewolf King

Normally Jayce would be all over the women, but his heart was taken by another, and his Wolf didn't like the idea of being shared. "Actually, there is a reason I called for this meeting. We'll discuss things once we get inside." Jayce informed him. Archibald shrugged as he walked him through to the living room. The large cathedral style ceilings made it spacious and breathable. All of the windows were open, the breeze coming through. Many others awaited their arrival. Four more Alphas and their Mates were seated around a round table. He could already hear Lily cracking some sort of joke about King Arthur and his knights of the round table. His Wolf whimpered.
