Falling Back to the Way Home

Falling Back to the Way Home

But I knew it hadn’t. Over the past three years, the time Cicio Russo spent alone with me had grown shorter and predictably shorter. He would rather stay in the grand study, where he dealt with all his family business, facing those dull shelves with bulky books, than come home to be with me and my everlasting warm company. The meals I reheated again and again, the lights that stayed on night after night—it all felt like they were telling me: He was not coming back. One night, Cicio came home late and paused for a moment when he stepped through the door.

This life again

This life again

S, I still remember your fear of owls. I frowned at the letter, crumpling it, when the owl shrieked, causing me to jump and dropping it. It dove downward, snatching the paper, and then out the window. "What was that all about?" Quill asked as he rubbed his arm where the owl once perched. "My brother has requested I return home. He was on an expedition in the Aztec Isles and other countries, promoting businesses. I believe he's upset that I ordered Father to split all ties with Mason's business." I said, frowning.

Luna Lilith

Luna Lilith

Never again. Never again would she suffer alone. Because as long as I breathed… No one was taking my girl away from me. And no one... Absolutely no one is touching my family.

Begin Again

Begin Again

she mumbled through her very loud yawn. "Guess it's settled then. I'm placing the order as soon as we get home," Liam decided, his arms tightening around Aiden when he remembered his horror earlier. He never wanted to go through something so unbelievably crippling again. His big-ticket purchase and any cuddling he may have had in mind would have to wait, though. When they finally made it back to the penthouse, his folks and sisters had made themselves at home in his living room. "There he is!" His mom screeched and rushed to his side the moment they closed the door behind them, and the room was instantly a hive of activity as they all exchanged pleasantries and introductions with Brenda.

Almost one of the best. Hence, totally agreed to one of the reviewers chapters leading to the end of the novel less interesting perhaps too much effort in making some catastrophe to the story to put some twist. could have made more effort in making the end not to subtle or too obvious.

Val Sims is one of my favorites. Begin Again is the first of her novels that I read and I loved it so much, I had to read all her other works and I love them also. I hope she continues to write because she tells a good story and her characters are believable.

From Heartbreak To Stepmom

From Heartbreak To Stepmom

Alison POV By the third day I was discharged, Vandyke brought me some fresh clothes and gave me my purse but only my IDs were in it, still no phones or laptop. “Are you going to be home alone? You need someone to assist you. Should I call your mom?” “No!” I shot his suggestion down as quickly as he suggested it. “You can’t be home alone after…” “I said no! Are you my dad? Why are you acting like you own me? I can take care of myself.” I yelled at him.

Marriage Of The Vampire King

I said. "What do you want?" “Coming home, but this world doesn't let me go even those closest to me. But this has absolutely nothing to do with you, no way back home. But I will try to go home alone " " Going home, where is your house? I'm sure, I can take you home! " “Yes, I hope you don't push yourself. Want to take me home? " I said again, distracting.

-Yes, yes, of course I do. -Thank you friend, thank you, you don't know how much you help me, because you know once I leave that house, I will never come back and they won't let me come back, so when I leave there I will have no family, I will be completely alone, my sisters and I have moved so far away that nobody counts on anyone, everyone scratches with their own fingernails.

The demon wolf’s Affair

The demon wolf’s Affair

I scream and kick the bed’s wooden frame but even that is reinforced and secured to the floor, not even budging an inch so I injure my toe instead. I’m trapped and alone, and deep in my heart my greatest fear emerges, that I will never be able to make it back home. I scream and scream, yelling every insult and cuss word I can think of at him and the two other males but he does not return. None of them do. I’m alone. .

Married Again

Married Again

It started with an anonymous email. No subject line. No introduction. Just a message that read: > “If you want to bring Carrington down for good, meet me tomorrow. 9 PM. No police.” Attached was a location pin — an old observatory on the city’s outskirts. Aria stared at the message, her heartbeat ticking louder with each second. Geneva peered over her shoulder. “Looks like a trap,” Geneva muttered. “Maybe. But if it’s real...”
