SWEET MISTAKES

SWEET MISTAKES

I feel like for twenty-three years, my life was wasted, never studied, and now I'm sorry. I put the oil in the pan. Breaking an egg takes a long time. I'm not very good at opening eggs, and I tap them into a pan and spill them in half. I put it in an oil that's not hot yet, and it's worse than the eggs are drowning in oil. I'll look at it, and it's disgusted first to feel that egg. I turn the eggs, and the shape is ugly, especially the oil everywhere. May Gerald not protest, if he's a lot. Maybe I should throw this food away, and it looks like I failed today and could try another time. It's been a waste of my life.

The Wrong Bernardi

The Wrong Bernardi

The oils needed to come out. Food knew when you were being lazy. Mama had also once told me soup could sense marital conflict, so all her culinary wisdom needed to be taken with a little skepticism. But she was right about the lemon. I cracked four eggs one-handed, dropping them in one by one without a single piece of shell. I had many flaws. Cooking was not one of them. I whisked the eggs and sugar until the mixture turned pale and fell from the whisk in thick ribbons. Then I poured in the olive oil slowly, a thin stream of green-gold disappearing into the batter without splitting.

Chaotic Resemblance

Chaotic Resemblance

I can’t cook for the life of me but desperate moments call for desperate measures. Bringing out a pan, I start breaking eggs into a bowl. I put in all the ingredients I’ve seen Charles use and then pour it into the pan. The egg sticks to the pan and I realize I was supposed to put oil first. I groan, then snap my mouth shut when I remember everyone else is asleep. I try my best to savour what remains of the egg when I’m done. My only saving grace is that the eggs don’t taste half as bad when I eat them.

Fall in love with my ex's dad

Fall in love with my ex's dad

Cracking eggs into a bowl, she whisked them with a purposeful vigor, the rhythmic sound echoing the determination to face the day head-on. The sizzle of eggs hitting the pan filled the kitchen, and soon, the aroma of scrambled eggs wafted through the air. Ava stood by the stove, the warmth of the cooking eggs providing a comforting embrace. As she plated the breakfast, her thoughts shifted from the events of the previous day to the challenges that lay ahead. With a plate of scrambled eggs in hand, Ava took a deep breath, ready to step out into the world. The composed exterior she presented to the mirror reflected not just a well-applied layer of makeup but also a resilient spirit, ready to n

The Mafia's Boy Toy

The Mafia's Boy Toy

She looks back down at the eggs and smiles. “Of course. But you have to promise to be careful.” She says as she lifts a finger, and I nod seriously. She slides the crate and bowl to me, and I pick up an egg like it’s something very important. Because it is. Mrs Lana has told me before that if you mess up cracking eggs, you’ll have shell in the mixture, and that’s bad. I tap the egg on the bowl like I’ve seen her before, but nothing happens. I tap the egg again, and still nothing.

Falling For Her Playful Seduction

Falling For Her Playful Seduction

I suddenly stopped when I remembered I actually didn't know how to cook. “Damn that oldie! Can't he cook before leaving the house? He didn't even tell me where he was going,” I muttered while getting the frying pan. “I should watch. Maybe I could learn from it,” I smiled while opening my phone typing how to cook eggs and bacon. “That’s it? I’ll have to break the eggshells. Oh, come on, that's very easy,” I said, placing some oil on the pan and breaking the shell. “Shit!” I cursed. Damn it. I broke it too much. I frowned, looking at how ugly it was. That's not how Nita cooks eggs. I then grabbed the bacon on the table and put it on the frying pan.

Ice Bound Hearts - A Fake Dating Hockey Romance

Ice Bound Hearts - A Fake Dating Hockey Romance

Shit. In the kitchen I pull out an omelette pan, add some olive oil and crack four eggs, mindful to remove the yolk from two of them. Too much cholesterol otherwise and I do prefer an egg white omelette not sure how much Madi would like that so it’s a compromise. I mix the yolks in one cup and the whites in the other then blend them together into the pan. It’s an old trick my grandma taught me, it makes the omelette much puffier and just the way I like it.

REGINA NERA (Black Queen)

REGINA NERA (Black Queen)

Her steps falter when she sees us "Don't mind us. We'll make ourselves breakfast and Regina can have whatever she normally eats" "Yes sir" Ophelia cracks the eggs and adds milk while I mix the dry ingredients. I've made it a point to always include her whenever I'm cooking so she grows up to be self-sufficient. Unlike her mother who can't even fry an egg. She tried once and almost burned down my house. This is one of the reasons I'd like her to be present in Ophelia's life. As someone who grew up without a mother, she should know the difficulties she went through and make sure her daughter doesn't go through the same thing.

Alpha Rafael: Chasing My Ex Wife

Alpha Rafael: Chasing My Ex Wife

That hit differently. They're both mad at me. And honestly? I get it. I fucked up. I'm in the kitchen, trying to focus on the one thing I can control-breakfast. "Eggs Benedict with roasted tomatoes," I mutter to myself, flipping through the ingredients on the counter. "Poach the eggs... toast the muffins... make the hollandaise without ruining it." Easier said than done when your hands won't stop shaking. The eggs are boiling gently, the sauce pan is prepped, and I'm slicing cherry tomatoes when I hear soft footsteps behind me. I don't turn, too scared it's Rafael, too scared it's Derrick.

This is really a good story. While I do enjoy a good revenge story, I also think Raphael should have directed it towards the real culprit Linda instead of targeting Lila. I expected her wolf to be more of her defender rather than telling her to submit to him. Maybe that will change the more I read

Highly recommend this book! Why? Because it has everything I love A feisty, strong-willed heroine who refuses to stay down, and a ruthless alpha hell-bent on revenge. The chemistry, the tension? Chef's kiss. I’m absolutely in love with this story. Lila doesn’t stay weak. I adore her so much.

The Girls High School

The Girls High School

What? “Salt and chilli powder.” “Over there!” she added some salt and chilli powder in the bowl, broke the egg into it and started beating the mixture thoroughly. SSssssssss! She had never dreamed that she would make a sizzling omelette in a kitchen full of men in her birthday suit. ‘Mom...dad...why did you have to die?’ tears flowed down her cheeks as the omelette was getting ready. ‘Why didn’t you take me with you?’
