Sam announced after a few hours. Looking up from my half-successful nap, I gasped at the sight before us. I could barely see through the darkness, but I saw enough. A castle, the tips reaching the clouds, stood before us. Adorned in black with swirling yellow lines, it was a sight to behold. The yellow lines danced over the black stone, weaving around the thousands of windows. The garden was round, encircling the castle with a wide canal running around it. The entire garden was blooming yellow, which looked faint in the moonlight. There were even parts with the other colours of sin, like Micah had wanted everything in his kingdom that his brothers had.

He makes his way to the table and tries to observe the map. It’s a well-made design for an old castle which was under an independent vampire not long ago. The structure is perfectly described, separating the main building and the dungeons. Several red crosses are drawn around the dungeon section which easily attracts a viewer’s attention. Oliver points in that area and says, “These are the cells.” “There are so many of these.” “Which states that the number of the captives is uncountable!”

Maxwell POV I open my eyes and gape in wonder as I stare down at the massive castle below. Valen has somehow transported us to a ledge that overlooks the Umbra Hunter Castle. The scene is a picturesque view as large, fluffy snowflakes drift lazily through the morning air. The Castle is built into the side of the mountain, its main gates facing out toward the small clearing that slopes down the mountain. I can see the Hunters moving about the courtyard, several going into the castle while others head to the horse barn, and I can't help but notice this is the most lively the Castle has ever been since I’ve been here.

My eyes trailed over the carvings, over the ornate curve of the doorway and up to the arched windows that hung ahead. The castle had been printed on the flyer for Carnival Cerulean. The door knockers were two curved horns, one white and the other black. Something drew my eyes from the door and up to one of the windows. A flicker of light perhaps but as I looked closer, I was sure I had seen something else. “Beautiful, isn’t it?” Abel mused, his dark hair shifting as he tilted his head at the castle. “Beautiful, and dangerous.” I confirmed, clasping my sticky palms together to stop the trembling of my fingertips.

Instead, I found myself standing in an open field, the cold earth beneath me, surrounded by flickering torches and swirling shadows.

But finally, the game was going to reach its next level, wherein, I was unaware of what objective lay beyond the walls of that terrifying castle. I reached the edge of the forest and the castle came into view, but the instant I raised my step to move ahead….the repulsively familiar pupil-less face floated right in front of the castle, magnified to a hundred times its original size. Its hole of for a mouth stretched, and its gruffly cracked voice bellowed, causing the castle to shiver and sent tremors all over the ground.

Directly in front of me was a huge castle that seemed to defy the very laws of physics. Built from shimmering white stone and dark obsidian, it reached toward the heavens.
