I felt betrayed to say the least. “Well, you shouldn’t feel betrayed because you’re being a selfish bastard and I had no choice but to knock some sense into you, which is quite amusing considering I’m the animal who runs on basic instincts here and you’re the one known for his calm wisdom” muttered Lennox in my head coldly. “Hey Lennox, nice to see you don’t share my brother’s feelings about your mate” said Alec with amusement as he realized that he took over my mouth. “Give her to me” Lennox said darkly as he walked and stood in front of Alec, extending his arms for her.

"Oh no. This is my new babysitter?" "Yes," Marcus replied. "Lennox, meet Dr. Sloane Quinn." She didn't smile. Didn't extend her hand. Just stepped further into the room and stood tall. "You're Lennox Graves. And I'm the reason you might actually survive this season," she said quietly, clearly. Something flickered in Lennox's eyes. A cynical grin spread across his face. "Oh, this is going to be just fucking great."

And the owner was the same man who had claimed my innocence. I glanced around and quickly spotted Lennox not too far away. He was standing with his hands in his pockets, talking to a group of women. They seemed like giddy teenagers fawning over their crush. What was so charming about Lennox? His face didn’t even show a smile. Was a man’s stoic demeanor attractive now? Perhaps his best asset was his youthful appearance—despite claiming to be over thirty-five, he still looked so young. And unlike others in his position, he didn’t look like he’d gone under surgery. Maybe being rich had its perks—he probably had no other worries but growing his wealth.

Then he did something I never saw coming. He raised his voice. “Before anyone leaves,” he said. The room quieted instantly. I felt sick. Lennox turned slightly, making sure everyone could see him standing beside me. “Declan is my friend,” he announced. Silence. My heart stopped. “If anyone crosses him,” Lennox continued calmly, “they answer to me.” I turned to him sharply. “What are you doing?” He ignored me. “I don’t repeat myself,” he added. “So don’t test it.”

Lennox turned a beat later, his expression lighting with something between surprise and satisfaction. “Alpha Baron,” Lennox said, stepping forward and offering a hand. “Good to see you again.” “Lennox.” I shook his hand firmly before letting my eyes flick to Bryan. “I wasn’t aware you two were close acquaintances.” “We weren’t. But your son happened to be the first face I saw when I arrived,” Lennox said with a shrug. “I asked him to keep me company while I waited. Turns out, he’s got quite a head on his shoulders.”

Because why would Roman Lennox, CEO of Lennox Global Logistics, actually be here? But he was. “My employee informed me you requested my presence,” he said, his tone measured and almost bored, like this was just another checkbox on his to-do list. His posture was immaculate, hands tucked casually into his pockets, exuding an air of effortless power that made me feel woefully underdressed in my leggings and oversized hoodie. Anthony, looking like he was about to pass out, stammered, “Miss Lyra, this is Mr. Roman Lennox, the CEO of Lennox Global Logistics.” He practically shoved the flowers and basket toward me, but Roman intercepted them, holding them out himself.

Sofia stayed close to William, her device still sparking in her hand. Inside the bay, the sight was staggering—a massive transport ship, its engines glowing, a crew of armed men loading crates with frantic speed. And at the far end, atop a raised platform, Leonard himself stood in a tailored coat, watching them with a crooked smile. “Welcome,” Leonard called out, spreading his arms. “I hoped you’d make it.” William raised his rifle, voice cold. “It’s over.” Leonard’s smile widened. “Oh, no, William. This is just the beginning.”

Mr and Mrs Lennox now have two beautiful daughters, Ysabel and Eleanor Lennox. My life is complete; My family is my world. Who would have thought Maddox Maddog Lennox would finally find his happiness? But I am truly blessed. The end Authors note Oh, my! Emotional me. Thank you all so much for reading Maddog’s story. I wanted to say something, but I had no words. “I said that’s enough.” Lennox’s voice was sharp and serious. “Catherine isn’t just Mia’s nanny. She’s my wife.” Everyone gasped. I froze, my eyes widening as I stared at Lennox in shock. “Your what?” Vivian snapped, totally shocked. “My wife,” Lennox said again, putting his arm around me and pulling me close. “We got married last week. It was private. I was going to announce it tonight, but you kinda forced my hand.”
