TRISTAN’S POV I couldn’t shake the question inside my head Why Brie? Of all people, why did the Three-Eyed Sorcerer want to see her? His timing, his words, everything about this felt suspicious. I couldn’t put my finger on it. I walked forward. Tyler and Kane looked as confused as I was. “Explain yourself,” I said to him. “Why do you want to see her? She is… fragile.” The sorcerer’s three eyes blinked slowly. The one in the center of his forehead glowed a bit, like it was staring into something beyond us.

When he leaves I’ll head over. The reply was immediate. C: Need me to knock some sense into him? Sky: Nah. I’m already going to do my best to make him look incompetent today. That’s the goal. C: Got it. I’ll make sure to stand up straight when he shows up. I chuckled. Carl could be so intimidating and with his family actually having Beta and Gamma blood, it would knock Greg down a peg or two. I was just glad I had a window seat viewing the garage. The doors slid up as Carl started to open for the day at 7 a.m. Swapping out of that conversation, the last message was from Caleb.

Carl nodded, still grinning. "Have you gotten the missing file yet?" he asked Carl, his tone firm, expecting a progress update. "No. I said it was stolen." Carl shrugged. "Do you know who took it?" Williams questioned further. "No sir." Carl responded. The interrogation continued, with Mr. Williams firing questions at Carl, his tone growing increasingly stern. Carl responded with brief answers, his demeanor calm, but his eyes betraying a hint of frustration. Daniel remained silent, his eyes fixed on the scene unfolding before him, his expression a mix of disdain and discomfort.

Garrit comes into the lobby. “Didn’t you say the girl is living with three boys?” asks Carl. “Yes.” “Who is this third boy who you didn’t see around the house very often?” “Blonde hair. Not a vampire.” “Of course, because he is a werewolf.” “So, how do you plan to get to him?” Asks Luther. “Kidnap someone from the house again?” “Yes, because that worked out so well last time,” Carl says irritably. “I can do it this time,” says Garrit.

I would have taken his phone with me. “Let me out of the car, Grim. We are done! You gave me an organism; I gave you one in return. We owe each other nothing. So open the damn door and let me go,” I shouted. He remained silent. Not saying anything. "Look, Grim, you want your sister, right? You can get her and "You said I was good. That there was still some good in me, right?” He asked in a quiet voice. I remained still as out past conversations rushed into my head. “Right?” He asked.

The face was all scratched up, and anything on her body that could prove her identity was taken away, so we suspect it's an intentional murder. Hearing that the body was salvaged from Salakole, Winston paused for a moment, then he put on his sterile gloves with a poker face. I floated in mid-air, staring at the man in front of me. Three years... It had been three years since I died. After I died, my soul was trapped in Salakole, suffering in the fierce wind and freezing weather all day. Until someone found me, they brought me back. But I didn't expect that Winston was the person who would personally dissect me.

“This one that the master Carl is happy about, hope something good crossed by you ” Alexander chortled pouring sparkling water into a brown mug. He watched as he sipped on it and then swallowed the water whole into his body. With the cold winter breeze blowing on him, Alexander shuddered through the darkness as he lit up a candle. “Of course! There is good news!” Carl's hand reached for his mask and pulled it off all at once. He adjusted his neck and looked into the blazing fire. “Our phase three is almost finished and we did not need to do anything, Alexander!”

Carl pulled her into his arms and said, "Don't cry, Pheebs. Everyone has their own destiny." What bullshit! I didn't believe in that rubbish, yet my fate had played such a huge prank on me. It had turned me into such a harbinger of misfortune. I saw the slight smile on Carl's face. He seemed to be pleased that I was dead. He and the rest of them surrounded my body. Silence descended upon them as they looked at my photo and urn. Gary said grimly, "Holly called me this afternoon and told me she was going to die. She wanted us to have one last meal with her."

CHAPTER 163 LUCIEN The moment the last cultist dropped, the air changed. One second Seraph’s minions were everywhere, screaming, clawing, black veins splitting their skin. The next they were gone. Just… gone. Like someone had snuffed out a candle. The ones still breathing collapsed where they stood. The thralls we had already cut down stayed down. No more rising. No more shadows twisting. I stood in the middle of the outer courtyard, chest heaving, both blades dripping. My arms burned. My side was on fire where some bastard had gotten a lucky slash through my armor. Blood mine and theirs ran in hot rivulets down my face and neck.

"It's over, Henry. There's no starting over." Despair filled Henry's eyes. He jabbed a finger toward Liam, his voice rising. "Is he the reason? Is he why you won't come back to me?" Gritting my teeth, I looped my arm through Liam's and faced Henry with an icy stare. "Yes, and that's why you need to stop looking for me." Henry just stood there, looking lost. After what seemed like an eternity, he spun around and stumbled away until he vanished from my sight.
