Ariel leaned back against the pillows, laughing so hard the nurses peeked in to see what was happening. Carl caught their stares and glared. “Don’t laugh! Do you think it’s funny? I’m the one who will buy seven pairs of shoes every month! Seven school uniforms, seven toys, seven school fees!” He raised his hands to the ceiling. “I’ll be broke before I even start!” The nurses covered their mouths, giggling uncontrollably. Ariel teased, “Well, that’s what you get for loving me too much.” Carl slumped into the chair beside her, groaning dramatically. “Next time… I’m sleeping outside.”

"We caught dinner!" "I caught two!" Carl announced proudly. "Dad only caught one." "The big ones got away," Karson said. His clothes were plastered to his body. His hair dripped onto the floor. But there was something in his expression I hadn't seen before. Lightness. Almost joy. "What happened to you?" I asked, trying not to smile. "Carl fell in," Karin reported. "Then Dad jumped in to save him. Then I jumped in because it looked fun."

“Yeah, that’s Logan Carter.” There was a round of Oh's and ahs from the group at the window. I heard my phone buzz on the table with a notification. I closed my laptop down and grabbed my things. Collin gives him a smile before placing his eyes back to his lovely daughters who are still having fun jumping in the trampoline Carl bought for them. "Really?" Carl then looks around, and seeing as it was unusual for such a thing to happen, he orders the men to keep an eye out while he goes to check on the power, as it's needed for them to use the computer to check records. Carl heads straight to the power office, only to notice the door handle already broken. Seeing that, he quickly brings out his gun and slowly opens the door. He walked in, taking each step slowly, when suddenly a loud thud sounded from inside as he rushed, seeing a man jump out through the window. Carl rushed back out into the warehouse straight to meet Kelvin and informed him about the intruder he saw jumping out through the window. Kelvin brought out his gun also as they both

I moved quickly and got right back on my feet and took a defensive stance. He threw three punches and I blocked with ease. Before he could turn or react, I striked back, punching his face. “ Easy there tiger. You don’t want me to look ugly for my fans at the ball”. A sneer plasters on his face making me roll my eyes.
