I heard a commotion coming from some of the office girls across the room which broke me out of my mind swirl. “Have you seen Mr. Hottie out there with the super sports car.” One of them gushed. Please don’t let this be Logan. I thought. The girls were all gushing over some guy outside. I looked over one of their shoulders and sighed. “Leah, isn’t that the guy who was at the bar last week?” One of my closest colleagues asked me a little too loudly, to drop me in it. “Yeah, that’s Logan Carter.”

Carol ran towards me and hugged me. She bawled like a child. "Nathalie isn't my innocent baby anymore!" I laughed at her. "Stop being so ridiculous, Carol. It's not like I will forget about you," I said. She wiped her tears off and smiled at me. "Elijah is waiting outside for you. He told me the both of you are going to go on a date, so you need to fix yourself. I'll lend you the best stripper dress I have and—" "STRIPPER DRESS?! CAROL?!"

I don’t know where I got the courage but it came and I found myself looking forward to making good use of my skills to see if they would actually work. Carol wasn’t too enthusiastic about the idea. “I get that it’s for the greater good,” she said as she wrapped her arms around my waist later that night. “But I can’t promise I won’t be jealous if I see you flirting with other girls.” “But you flirt with other guys too.
