Athena's POV I wake up with a splitting headache, but the soft embrace of my Egyptian cotton duvet covers makes it bearable. Turning to my side, I spot Cassian lying on top of the covers, deeply engrossed in his sketchbook. He’s drawing something, his brow furrowed in concentration. Suddenly, I’m acutely aware of myself—my makeup, the clothes I passed out in last night. I peek under the covers and realize I’m no longer in last night’s clothes; instead, I’m wearing a comfortable shirt from my closet. She groaned and picked her fish, she had to eat, she was hungry and only her strength could help her run the race since her wolf had shut herself out. She ate the fish with its fins, grills, dirt, and bones, she crushed it in her mouth and prepared herself to run. For a moment, I just stand there, watching the muscles flex and ripple on his arms as he stirs and grates a cheese, moving nimbly like this is some sort of ritual to him.

I rushed into the supposed waiting area, but it's empty, and I'm just seeing a lady sitting in front of a desk. I walked towards her. "Hi." "Hi ma'am, how may I help you?" she asked, smiling brightly, but her questioning gaze made me uncomfortable. "My name is Claire... Claire Cassie. I'm here for the audition." She paused a little bit, taken aback. I sighed, trying to stop myself from screaming out of frustration because the whole staring was starting to really get to me. "The audition ended already, Miss Claire," she replied. Her response sent shivers down my spine.

Chapter 5: Just an outsider The night was alive with the crackling of bonfires, the air thick with the rich, primal scents of roasted meat and fresh earth. The pack gathered in celebration, a shimmering mass of movement and laughter, but Cassia felt like she was watching it all through a pane of glass. She stood at the edge, feeling the warmth of the flames on her skin but none of the joy that the others seemed to bask in.

Oliver looked a lot like our mom too but I take after my dad. I let the tears fall off my face and I wanted to reach out to her but I couldn't I couldn't touch her I couldn't let her touch me so I reverted back to the window. "I know you're in there.
