Jo continued forward as they all shouted for her aunt, but then, the sound of hurried footsteps in front of them had them all readying their weapons. A blur came flying at them, running right past them at first. Jo and the others held their fire as they turned to see Cassidy coming to a halt behind them. Sweat was pouring off of her forehead, and her clothing was a little singed. “Cass?” Jo screamed. “Are you all right?” Cassidy seemed to be out of breath, which was unusual for a LIGHTS team member. She took a moment, breathing deeply, and wiped the sweat from her forehead. “I’m okay,” she said. “Did you say that you found your mom?”

He rolled his eyes playfully. “I’m fine, Mom.” I smiled—really smiled this time. Before I could respond, a familiar voice cut in—loud, impossible to ignore. “Why are you two hiding out here instead of dancing?” Cassie. I turned just in time to see her strutting toward us like she owned the place. She was wearing tight short shirt that hugged her perfectly, paired with a crop top that showed just enough skin to turn heads as she walked past. And judging by the way a few guys openly stared, it was working.

I take a sip from my cup to calm myself, I slightly lean back as I wait for her to make an appearance. The door opens and a petite body walks in. My eyes meet soft brown infused with honey color eyes, I think it’s hazel. My wolf howls in my head uncontrollably as he sees her, wanting to mark her and go raw with natural instincts.
