Austin was fighting not one but two wolves. ‘Run, Harry, run.’ He linked, but there was no chance I was abandoning my friend. I allowed my wolf Axe to push forward, the shift occurring so swiftly as my bones cracked and dislocated into position. Axe had the attention of the lighter of the two wolves, darting for his neck, clamping down, dragging him away from Austin’s wolf, but in doing so I could see though my wolf’s eyes, the damage to my friend… he was badly injured. Beta wolf or not, two wolves against one was never a fair fight. He had taken some serious hits.

The man is holding a strange looking dagger in his hand, and it’s covered in blood. With a new rush of adrenaline coursing through me at the sight of my friend injured, I get up, pushing forward grabbing the man and snapping his neck unremorsefully. I turn back in time to see Axel shifting back into Chris as he cries out in pain. I quickly kneel at his side and even though I know it’s going to cause me more pain, I reach out and stroke his hair to comfort him. I look down and see an open wound in his chest, the one he got protecting me. But it’s not the stab wound that has me worried… it’s the black veins spreading out from the wound.

I dropped beside Axel instinctively and blood spread quickly across his shirt, dark and terrifying. “Axel, stay with me,” I said, pressing my hands against the wound but his breathing was shallow but present. “I am… fine,” Axel managed weakly. “You are not fine,” I said. Ghost reached us and immediately took over, applying stronger pressure to the wound. “Bullet went through the shoulder,” Ghost said. “He is lucky.” Ruin kept his weapon aimed at the tank.“Jace!” Ruin shouted. “This ends now!” Silence answered him. The rooftop felt empty again. Ghost glanced toward the tank carefully, then shook his head.

"Come on, Axe. Let's clean your blood first, then I'll treat your wounds." I lifted Axe's head and pushed his shoulders to sit at the foot of the bed. Axe's breathing was still ragged, he swallowed his own saliva against the throbbing pain all over his body. Poor Axe, he shouldn't have challenged dad and ended up in this horrible state. It's nothing, I'm afraid Axe has internal injuries because it's very fatal. "Are you ready?" I asked when I found Axe looking deeply at me. My goal was one, I was going to take Axe to the bathroom sink. The blood on Axe's face adds a creepy accent, alongside the random bruises.

It was slightly unnerving watching the crazy Viking get splattered with blood naked, and I could have sworn Axel was slightly turned on by the fighting judging by his member. Asher’s pov “What the fuck happened?” Storm asked when I came close. He was surrounded by dead bodies and covered in blood. I was still holding on to Argo, who was barely able to walk. Yeah, what did happen? It was hard for me to remember everything. “Alpha Scott had silver nails laced with wolfsbane; he fought with Argo. We need to get out of here.” Storm shook his head, “no, offense, but we’re not going anywhere until you, your son, and I get some bandages or something. Because we’re in no fucking shape to take on any more people.”

A small hiss of pain fell from his lips as he moved. I turned around, my eyes widening when I saw the blood seeping from his chest. Without second thoughts, I touched his chest where a deep gash was steadily bleeding out. “What the hell? Aren’t you an Alpha? Why aren’t you healing?” I asked my questions in rapid fire.. “The rogues. Their blades had poison,” Axel explained. His hand closed over my wrist when my index grazed the wound. “I need someone to remove the poison before it can start to heal properly.”

I unwrapped the gauze and sucked in a sharp breath when I saw that the wound looked severe. “It is nothing. There were some problems at the Pack the other day, and one of the members attacked me when I tried to take them to a cell.” “This isn’t nothing. If this happened a few days ago, you should have healed by now.” I moved from the floor, placing his arm down. “Take your shirt off. I will help with your wound.” “I…” Axel grabbed my wrist to stop me from leaving. His eyes fixated on me, and their intensity took my breath away. “Okay,” he released my wrist.

Blood dripped down the floor, Axel wiped it away with a nearby tissue. "What happened?" He queries, I looked at him with glossy eyes. "I-I-I really don't know, someone wants me." He hugged me. Mason took a first aid kit and started to heal my wound. He made sure to check if the mark was any bad, but me being useless because I can't shift, the wound would never heal that fast. "I'm sorry for letting you out of my sight." Axel sighs in frustration, running his hair in the process. "No, it's my fault" I whispered. Mason sprayed it, and I winced from the stinging feeling.

Arlo scrambles backward in terror, retreating several meters away from me until his back hits a wall. Using the momentum of my missed swing, I spin around and sweep the axe horizontally. A vicious angle. If it connects, even his thick hide will suffer. The Werewolf twists his body mid-air. The blade grazes his bicep, tearing a deep gash. Thick, dark blood instantly wells up. But he doesn't flinch. He acts like he can't even feel the pain. Instead, he stops moving. Because Arlo is finally far away from me, the hostility in the Werewolf's eyes instantly vanishes.
