Being young and beautiful, Celeste is the only daughter of the Marcon Family and was raised by Don Andres Marcon and Dona Saffira Marcon in their province. She was known to be an in-demand event stylist and a successful event planner. Everything is fine with her life, but she doesn’t remember anything about her childhood to her adolescence. She always felt that something was always missing in her life –not until she found out the truth when an unknown man came named Allastair and he claimed that she was his.

The Castellano club pulsed with defiance, its neon lights a beacon in the city’s restless night. Kai Castellano stood at the entrance, his black jacket unzipped, his icy blue eyes scanning for Order of Cinders operatives. The safe house confrontation with Alessio had hardened their resolve, his betrayal a wound, but Gianna’s mercy and their rooftop vow fueled Kai’s fight. Their empire—Castellanos and La Rosa Nera—stood firm, but Viktor Crane’s global network threatened to seize the underworld. Kai’s jaw clenched, their shared tears, Gianna’s fierce heart, a flame that burned through the city’s chaos.

And I should ready myself from that because when your emotions were used against you, it would surely be hard to fight because emotions were one of the deadliest weapons that someone could use. Half an hour later, the staff who informed us about the teaser came again to tell us that everything was ready. I took a deep breath and stood up, Caleb put the papers down and looked up at me, his eyes were flashing worry. "Are you really sure about this, baby? Are you ready now?" he asked again. Leaning to peck his lips, I nodded, "I am. Let's go?"

There was a huge telescope coming out of the roof and lots of antique looking tools that Caine assumed were for astronomy or astrology or something. Something else that was really weird about this whole castle...there were plants and antlers and all kinds of naturalistic or native looking things everywhere. It kind of felt to to Caine like he had literally stepped into a fantasy novel. "What the hell??" Asked Tim, one of Caine's men. "I have no idea," said John as they all looked around in amazement.

"I don't even know why I'm wasting my time talking to you." Kingston smirked. "Obviously because you still need me." "I don't know what you're saying," Celestine said before she stood up from her seat. Before stepping away from Kingston she grabbed her sandwich. "You're stupid, Oakmont. Vincent will be the death of you." Celestine just continued walking and didn't bother answering him. She knew that Vincent will be the death of her but after everything that happened, it's impossible for her to get scared now. She stopped walking for a second to admire the patterned hand-painted tiles of the stair landing of the resthouse. Based on its design she can say that it's expensive.

As for Eric, he was cast aside and sent overseas like a discarded pawn. I looked away from the news and made myself a cup of coffee. The past was over, and my life was just beginning.

She tried to shield me from it, but the truth hung heavy in every corner. It wasn’t until he came —the Don, Castle’s father— that I had something close to direction. He had an eye for talent, for orphans, for strays like me who had nothing and would give everything if someone just gave them a name. He plucked me out of that brothel and gave me a different kind of family. A family of blood and violence, but at least it was mine. That’s when I met Castle. We trained together, ate together, bled together. I watched him grow into the boy who would one day carry the weight of the family name, and I grew into the man who would stand behind him. Always behind. Always in his shadow.

Gina nodded and ran off immediately, shouting commands to anyone still conscious. I carried Amy through the broken hall, stepping carefully over fallen columns and collapsed stones. The castle had never endured this level of destruction before. The entire west section was crumbling, and the south wing sagged dangerously to one side. Several walls had caved in from the shockwaves, and debris covered the floors like a graveyard of shattered history. This was my home. And tonight, it nearly died. I reached the healer’s room and pushed the door open with my shoulder. The healer still waited inside, visibly tense, his hands trembling until he saw Amy.

she threw a warm smile over her shoulder, directed at Elliot. I moved back a little, walking slowly next to Elliot, “Is she talking about Chaos?” I whispered. “Mhmm,” he responded with a light nod. My mind was swirling with questions. How did she know with a single glance at Elliot? Xantha’s main castle was stunning. The exterior was a deep, almost black-blue stone with creeping vines covering a large portion of the walls. Crystal clear blue waters surround the base of the castle, flowing into nearby canals that traveled away from the castle. The guards posted on each side of the door bowed as we walked across the bridge before opening the large double doors.

Thank God the Langstons don’t rule Upper Castles. In Amaenia, there are ten regions, and each region is ruled by a seat holder. Upper Castles, where we live, is ruled by the Caddels. Our neighbour, The Capital, is the central region of the country and is ruled by the Albertines— the country royalty. The Vandenbergs rule North Ventrise, and then the Barringtons in Barnsley, the Whitlocks in Wells Spring, the Hogwoods in Hillstone, the Hansleys in Hathbourne, the Silvius in Southcove, the Castellans in Chesterfield, and the Langstons in Lancastre.
