I still kept my dagger tight in my grip as I pushed all my strength into my arm as swung it at her. Her screams were muffled from the water as my blade connected with her stomach. Her nails dug into my arm as she tried to push away from me. I kicked my legs as I somehow managed to keep my grip on her. My lungs burned, the need for oxygen grew with each passing second. I ripped my dagger from her stomach and pushed off of the siren, swimming as fast as I could to the surface. I greedily gasped as I broke the surface, coughing as I splashed around.
