“Kitty,” Cassie yelled. “Let’s get going.” “Alright, give me a second,” Katherine grumbled as her fingers clutched the window. Something caught her eyes and she squinted, trying to catch a better look. She saw two glowing yellow eyes and, for some reason, she felt drawn to them. Like a magnet, they were pulling her in. She pushed her head out the window and the eyes glowed even brighter. Beautiful, she thought to herself.

However, it wasn’t the same as to what I'm seeing now. There was a boy. I can’t recognize his face because of the weird blurry effect of the dream. The only thing I saw clearly were his eyes. His emerald-colored eyes are still engraved in my mind. Even though it’s already been a year since I last dreamt of it, I still can’t forget his eyes. The scenes may be different to what I'm seeing now, but they were both peculiar and still not on earth.

Catherine huffed while driving the car. I was looking out of the window as usual and suddenly I heard the cry of the Cat. "Catherine, stop!" I quickly said and she hit the break. "What happened?" She looked at me worried. "Did you hear the crying of the Cat?" I asked. "No, what are you talking ab___" Her eyes widened we heard the cry again. "Ohh, fuck!" She looked out. "Aurora, isn't this the same place where we saw that black cat?" My eyes widened when she said that and quickly dashed out of the car.

But the danger wasn’t over. The large furry creature turned toward her, its eyes glowing a deep red, and Catherine’s blood ran cold. She recognized it now—this wasn’t just any animal. It was a massive wolf, unlike any she had ever seen. Its fur was thick, dark, and matted with blood, and its eyes seemed to pierce right through her. The wolf growled, low and menacing, and its sharp teeth gleamed in the moonlight.

I reign in my shock at the expensive art hanging up, not really paying attention to where I am walking. Then I am colliding head on with what felt like a wall of granite. I glance up and look straight into the same smoky grey eyes that lurked in every corner of my dreams last night. Um. What. My brain is short-circuiting. “Wha— um. What?” Eloquent, Kat. He raises his eyebrows, clearly amused at my discombobulation. And, shit, I am staring. I open my mouth to try again, but nothing comes out.

A large splitting mouth too full of razor-sharp teeth serrated like a shark’s. Their fingers were crooked like claws. Claws used to tear and rip into each other. The wet sounds of rending flesh rose and echoed through the silence. The only notable competition was the sounds of others eating the fallen with veracity, black tongues lapping up what their teeth missed, and the frantic grunts and moans of others copulating. Some were even doing all three at once.

Is the mom black, too?” Emma nodded. “Dad says they’re probably four weeks old. They still have blue eyes, too. Did you know cats’ eyes change as they get older?” Kat glanced at Gavin. He shrugged, like he didn’t know who this chatterbox of a girl was in front of them. “I think I did know that. I had a black cat when I was a kid. Her name was Snowball.”

“Darn, it! Dave, what the hell was that?” Catherine asked. A nervous tone in her voice followed by a panic on her mind, as she turns head darting in every niche of the mountain. Her vision again blurring and yet accompanied by the humming of her brain as she warmed up her fire, heart beating faster, ready for any unwanted attack. “Don't be alarm Catherine, It's just the howls of the Icy Cave above us!” “An Icy Cave?.. There is a cave that howls?” Very interesting, she thought.
