I can feel myself fading away slowly with the fire dying down. Is this how I’m suppose to end, without getting a chance to see my parent one more time, or having the nicest time with my mate without anything else worrying me. Is this how I’m just gonna end, a mere witch putting an end to me even. This is really bad. The evil witch behind this all erupted into an evil laugh feeling her victory more than the pain she’s causing me. “Let him go now!” A tainted voice I recognized as my mate commanded out of the blue and all of a sudden making a shocked appearance, the fire surrounding me went down abruptly, allowing me to see my mate in her saving beautiful glory.

The sky turns dark and the flames die down just enough and I see Carter held by Cornelius by the silver chain around his neck. Carters eyes are duel in contrast to they’re usual vibrant color. “Baby” he whispers. I feel myself lower and the heat from the flames start to cool as I watch Carters eyes close.
