I fall to my knees and she comes closer to me, chuckling. “Hey, babe. No, we aren’t dead.” I go to ask where we are when I hear a low whimper. I look down and see a pure white pup with a crescent moon on it’s forehead and the brightest blue eyes you have ever seen. They sparkle like sapphires. Looking at Aura and the pup, I gasp and cover my mouth, shaking my head as tears brim in my eyes. “Destinee, this is Celeste. My pup. She is Dahlia’s wolf.” I choke on a sob as Aura nudges the pup towards me.

VENUS Relief crashes through me. Tears sting my eyes. "Thank you..." Celeste nuzzles my consciousness affectionately. "That’s our baby. I won’t let anything to th–I mean it. I’m not good at English." A deep familiar howl suddenly echoes across the clearing. Rowan steps back. His body shifts effortlessly. Within seconds, a gigantic black wolf stands before us. His golden eyes shine like the sun. Asgard. The moment he sees Celeste, he lowers his massive head. Then gently rubs his muzzle against ours.

'Yes, Celia. I am your wolf. We can talk to each other now.' My wolf said. 'What's your name?' I asked. 'The Moon Goddess is cruel.' 'So you don't like questions either.' I thought. 'What is your name?' I asked again. 'The Moon Goddess gave me no name. She is cruel.' My wolf growled. 'Her words to me when I asked my name were 'You're special. You'll find your name when the time comes.'

Celeste’s first year changed everything. Not just for us, but for both packs. She became a symbol of hope. Of unity. Of the new world we were building. She was extraordinary from the beginning. At three months, she shifted for the first time. Most wolf pups didn’t shift until at least six months. But Celeste was different. Special. Her wolf form was stunning. Pure silver fur that gleamed like moonlight. Violet eyes inherited from somewhere deep in both our bloodlines. She was small, barely larger than a house cat, but her presence was undeniable.

The traitors on the Council of Wolves will make sure to inform Magnus that the one wolf who is prophesied to kill him is alive and well. I had to find a way to become friends with her, warn her and maybe teach her how to use her powers. A celestial wolf is rare and I will not allow Magnus to kill her. I will keep my promise to Celeste or die trying.

I felt sick from all the lies and secrets. “Celeste,” she called after me. “Wait.” I ignored her, increasing my pace. “Celeste,” she called again, and I halted. “They were protecting you,” Vanessa said, grabbing my hand and pulling me to face her. “From what? You? The pack? Everyone's stronger than me!” I yelled. “Celeste,” she breathed. “You're special. Your kind is rare. You're a lunarias wolf. The very ancestors of the wolves. The oldest and strongest link between the wolves and the supernatural.”

A few of them were unconcious and there was still a wolf or two missing. The witches that were still standing were in a row on the otherside of the fire, staring down Naomi and the others. Most of them had injuries too but they looked smug and self rightous. Naomi would give anything to wipe those looks of their faces right now. "Ladies! let's welcome our esteemed guests for this evening's ceremony shall we" creid Molly as she pullled Naomi and Alex forward. " I would like to introduce you all the only one who could make this ritual possible... Naomi Clarke and Alex Davenport. The last of the great white wolves and our sacrifices to the goddess Hecate!" as Molly finished speaking the witches

Instead, with remarkable finesse, the wolf landed beside her, his powerful tail sandwiched between Celeste and the unforgiving ground. Celeste slowly opened her eyes, and her vision was immediately consumed by the sharp, unwavering gaze of the wolf. His eyes were fixed on her, large and intense, radiating fierce, unyielding energy. Celeste could feel the weight of the stare, and it was as if the wolf was peering deep into her soul. Or rather, her inner wolf.

I saw a wolf, but this wolf was unlike any I've ever seen. Its fur was pure white, and it was glowing. Its eyes were like galaxies, swirling with stars and cosmic dust. I stumbled back, my mouth hanging open. "What... who are you?" The celestial wolf tilted its head, regarding me with those impossible eyes. "I am many things, Lyra of the Black Moon Pack. Guardian of knowledge. Keeper of secrets. Some have called me the First Wolf, though that name is not entirely accurate." I swallowed hard, trying to process what I was seeing. "Are you... a god?"

- I, as the alpha of the pack, on a mental level can call any wolf or she-wolf of my pack. - What about me? - No, Leah, neither I can hear your wolf, - he climbed a couple of steps, so that now our faces are on the same level, - and she does not hear my wolf.
