Sariah nudged me gently. "We should go," she whispered. "You've got what you needed."
I nodded, turning to leave, but paused at the cave's entrance. "I'll be back with your book," I vowed, my eyes locking with the calculating witches once more. "So you better be ready to hold up your end of the deal."
She merely smirked, her eyes glinting with amusement. "We'll be waiting."
