Kisah Sebongkah Roti Novels & Stories

She would eat up my chocolate biscuits and cleverly buy lesser quality biscuits from the street to replace it. This she did severally, but I did not complain until the day I was careless with my lunch box while eating, and my lunch box slipped out of my hands and my lunch poured on the floor. I cried like the baby that I was. The chocolate biscuits that would have sustained me had been eaten by my teacher, Miss Ego. It was so bad for her that day; she had no money to replace my biscuits which she had eaten. It was the magnitude of hunger that dealt with me that day that reminded me to report to my mother what had been transpiring.

(Translation: I can't eat anymore. His gaze went to her plate and he saw she had only finished half of her roti(chapati). He looked back at her because he saw her eating a few bites. He didn't know her bites were this small that after having at least seven to eight bites she could finish only half of her roti. The salad was also barely eaten, daal and vegetable didn't even look touched. She surely had a very small appetite.

I asked him even though it is almost finished. “Let me do the Roti’s.” he said, and I can hear him opening the bowl in which flour is mixed. “Actually, I already finished doing them, and this is the last.” I said. “I want one extra.” He said after a few minutes, and I shrugged. “Is it finished?” I asked him reducing the flame a little. “Wait!” he replied and then I felt him standing behind me. “Here.” he whispered in my ear, and I shook my head to look down and not burn the Roti he made.

I had to lie to him that nobody else had stepped into our home. I sat by the fire and took eternity to grill the fish, thinking about what could be happening to the rookie half breed. I rolled my eyes around the cave a few times, catching the sight of a colorful flying butterfly before my eyes fell down and glued onto Rotip’s back. New cuts I hastily snapped, but almost tripped on the wet leaves lying on the ground. Barely, I maintained my balance before moving forward again. Rotip sensed my reflex coming in even before I could touch him. All of a sudden, he turned himself to face me.

"Welcome—" The girl's composed smile disappeared the instant our eyes met. Panic flashed across her face. Lowering her gaze, she stammered awkwardly, "W-What would you like to order...?" The moment I looked at her, I knew she was the one. A faint smile curved my lips as I sized her up. "Two egg tarts." She looked innocent and delicate, small enough to seem fragile. I suddenly remembered how Lucas used to tell me that being short was cute.

How can I do this? “Mumma, I can't do this. Making round roti isn't my thing. I did try in our house before and everyone got roties as the shape of different country maps. I can't do it. Please have mercy on me.” I made a crying face but my tears didn't affect her. She glared at me and said.

It was a normal day like any other day but she doesn't why she was feeling uneasy. Sitting at the breakfast table everyone started eating though Orni seemed lost. Rudraksh already noticed Orni's pale face and guessed something. " Today's rotis(breads) are smaller than other days. Was there a shortage of flour, Mumma?" Roman asked his mother. Rion teased his sister Raksha," She might have put all the flour on her face as her make-up." " Daddy.....Mumma!!!" Raksha screamed at her parents. Orni let out angrily," Gosh!! You guys are siblings, not enemies."

Mpok Yetti alleged that he didn't believe it. Mbak Hamidah was upset because she was not trusted, even though the information she brought was difficult to obtain. "I swear. I am not lying. Ba'da Subuh tadi aku tuku bubur ning Bu Hajjah Awi, nah, Buk Sastri ning kono. Terus aku pura-pura mulih. Sing dak rungu, Buk Sastri pesan nasi tumpeng sing gede kanggo tamu bengi sing pengin ngelamar Ning!" (Java Language, means: After the Fajr prayer earlier, I wanted to buy porridge at Hajjah Awi, well, Mrs. Sastri was there. Then I pretended to go home. What I heard, Mrs. Sastri ordered a large tumpeng rice for tonight's guests who want to propose to Ning) said Mbak Hamidah.

Rori gave a sad smile, and Murdok only grunted before he twisted and fled the kitchen. Rori watched with a confused expression and a heavy heart while the door flapped between the rooms that connected it, showing flashes of the disappearing being she had been so pleased to see. Rori inhaled and swallowed the strange, lonely feeling she suddenly had. Mindlessly, she picked up a knife and chopped thick chunks of carrot and celery before throwing them into a bubbling cauldron of dark broth. As the fire roared beneath the large primitive cooking pyre, Rori cocked her head and squinted her eyes. “Why doesn't the smoke from the fire fill the room?” she asked, and a small, spectral boy tugged at he

Shiv smirked wickedly as he murmured, "First I will eat the roti (Chapatis) made by your hands. Then I will eat you" .... Thank you ShineeSunshine ♥️
