“A voice spoke to me today. It gave me a riddle—a clue about breaking the curse.” They exchanged uneasy glances. I recited the riddle, word for word, my voice sharp and cold. When I finished, the room was silent. Finally, one of them cleared his throat. “Do you… know what it means, my lord?” I slammed my hand down on the armrest of my throne, making several of them flinch. “If I knew, do you think I’d be standing here asking you?” Heads lowered immediately. I pointed at them, my eyes blazing. “Find the answer. Whoever solves this will be rewarded beyond anything they’ve ever dreamed of.”

The Riddle family, as they called themselves, now claimed everything we once knew. Riddle. Their rise to power had been just as mysterious as their name suggested. Ten years ago, no one had heard of them, but now, rumors swirled about their sudden emergence and the strength of their young leader. Some said he was a mixed-blood—neither pure wolf nor fully human. Yet his power was said to rival, or even surpass, that of the strongest pure-blooded wolves. And now, he controlled what had once been ours.

She read it aloud: "To see the path that lies ahead, you must first see within. What is unseen yet always present, a guide through thick and thin?" The group pondered the riddle, each offering their thoughts. Emilia spoke first. "It must be something intangible, like a feeling or a concept." Ryder nodded. "What guides us through difficult times?
