It was when I took his hand I felt a familiar rush of power. The tiny scar on his knuckle knitted itself back together in a split second as healing mana flowed through me.

Was this guy really going to cut open my hand? My silent question was answered instantly as he pulled the blade across Chase’s palm. He hissed a little, but quickly composed himself.
