Upon hearing this, Maia spoke again, her words harsh, "I've told you, whether I give you a chance or not, I won't love you again. So, giving you a chance or not is the same. Why bother... insisting on this chance?"
He sighed, "Giving me a chance means you no longer resist me."
This chance required her consent.
Maia involuntarily raised her head. When their eyes met, his profound gaze resembled a terrifying black hole, as if it could engulf her in the next second. She averted her gaze, her grip on the tablet tightening once again.
