This is a happy day, I can’t ruin it with tears. “Silly me.” I mutter in a sardonic tone as I wipe the tears away. “I’m supposed to tell you about my grand news.” I shake out the newspaper I had brought along with me in the little basket a few feet’s away from me. I shake it out as I open to the second page, prepared to read the headings. “The Elusive Figure, Mrs Anya Vasilis, finally shows her face in the event of the century.” “Mrs Anya Vasilis takes the award of the most supportive wife of the century.”

Chantelle's POV As Delcan asked me out, I could feel my heart racing. I knew I should say no, but something about him made me want to say yes. I could see the hope in his eyes, and I couldn't bear to disappoint him. I felt myself blushing as I gave him my answer. "Yes," I said. His face lit up with joy, and I felt my stomach do a somersault. I didn't know what to expect from this date, but I knew I was in for an adventure. I walked into my house, feeling a rush of joy. My uncle and his family were sitting in the living room, waiting for me to start working, but I couldn't bring myself to care. My thoughts were consumed by the upcoming date with Delcan. I knew it was foolish to get so excited

After a lot of thought on how to get to the city and protect herself while keeping her children safe. Rachel decided that the best way to keep her identity hidden from Noah was not to touch the money that was in her account, because if she did ,it will give up her location and he could easily send someone to track her, so what she did was to sell off her wedding ring from her ex-husband, it was really expensive and when she got all the money, she called her doctor friend which was still in the country, since he is the only one she knew.

Daisy asks him with concern, and I close my eyes, placing my hand on her lap as a signal to stop talking. Silence ensues. Richard is not answering Daisy. When I open my eyes, Caleb is staring at Richard and Daisy, and Ashley is watching me, looking furious. “Your ex-wife's name was Arabella, right?” Caleb demands abruptly, and my heart skips a beat. Richard continues to eat, seemingly pretending that everything is fine. “Yeah. Arabel Cooper.” Caleb turns to Ashley, who nods at me. “And she is Bella, right?” Richard follows the direction of Caleb's finger, and our eyes interlock for a moment.

After all, her fate in cheerleading business fell to Rachel’s hand. “I think so too. But well, the thing about Flynn is that he has commitment issues,” said Rachel with a shrug. “And I am not going to be the one to tie him up.” A nasty look formed on her face before she tossed her gaze at Tabitha Lawson on her right. “At least I dated him for a few weeks, unlike Tabitha who got dumped right after they had sex.”

My mind was racing, my thoughts were chaotic and all I could think about was how easy it would be for the whole situation to spiral out of control. That evening Luisa brought me dinner as usual, I went through my routine of taking my multivitamins and then headed to the shower after which I pretended to be unaware of my wolf longing for its mate, I tried to ignore her presence. I tried very hard. She was silent all night, she didn't try to talk or try to distract me either. That was very unlike Sheliah. Instead she just sat inside of me, patiently waiting for me to finish my night routine. When I was done I lay on my bed thinking of random things I couldn't even remember a few minutes before

And with every passing thought, her panic only grew, along with a deepening resentment toward Todd. But every time she reminded herself that he was unwell, she had no choice but to bury the resentment, leaving her feeling miserable. She wanted to look for me and start over, to make amends. But unfortunately, I had already told her that I never wanted to see her again. She used to think that watching Todd threaten suicide was the most painful thing in the world. The last few days without him had felt longer than they should have. I reached his bedroom door and hesitated for a second before pushing it open. What I saw made my entire world stop. Chandler was lying on the bed. And on top of him… was Dahlia. His ex-wife. Her hair was messy, her blouse unbuttoned, and she was straddling him, her hands on his chest. Chandler’s eyes were closed, his head tilted back against the pillows. For one horrifying second, it looked like they were in the middle of something intimate.

I arched my brows, surprised to have seen my sister in-law as my attorney. “Alec” She said softly, pushing her hair in between her ears as I finally recognized her as my sister-in-law. My gaze lingered a little before my anger burned down. Rachael and I have never spoken before . We used to meet often in the old mansion but she often ignored me like I had leprosy. In return, I avoided her presence, acting cold and indifferently towards her. But now, she was going to be my attorney? Goddamn! I hated this fate that brought us together.
