Shattered promises

Shattered promises

“You know what you’re stepping into, right? Once this goes out, there’s no undoing it.” She met his gaze. “You think I care about undoing? I’ve spent half my life cleaning up the messes of men who promised the world and handed me lies instead. This—” she gestured around the room “—isn’t just about us anymore.” He didn’t argue. He knew better now. By morning, the city was gray and hollow. They’d worked through the night, sending fragments of data to encrypted cloud drives, contacting the few allies Nathan still trusted.

A promise: That Changed my life

A promise: That Changed my life

He says. I furrowed my brows at him, "How?" "If she didn't have run away, I wouldn't have married to you, " I nodded in agreement, "However, it's so funny, no?" "What is funny?" "That a promise changed our lives forever." "Yes, do you remember you once asked me why I didn't wish in the temple and I said my previous wish is still pending so I stopped believing in it?" I nodded, confused, not understanding what he wanted to say, "I remember, why?"

Promises in the Grave

Promises in the Grave

Their eyes widened in shock as I asked them, each word deliberate, "Do you really want to see me fall apart?" They exchanged a glance, silent and shaking, and they stepped back, giving me space. Sunlight pierced through the gloomy clouds, warming my skin, feeling like it carried hope itself. I stopped looking at them and walked on with determined steps. I knew they would not come after me again. Six months later, Chester and I had our dream wedding, and on that special day, I received two priceless gifts. I knew who sent them, but it did not matter to me. Love that came too late was worth nothing at all.

Empty Promises, Wasted Years

Empty Promises, Wasted Years

"I'm here to light candles and pray for Grandpa and Grandma, not you. So, you have no say in this." Just then, someone tugged at Uncle Liam's arm, while others started whispering among themselves. "Why is this young man so stubborn?" "Hurry up and apologize to your uncle!" "We're all family here. Why are you kicking up such a huge fuss? It's embarrassing!" I placed the bouquet of flowers in my hands in front of the grave and bowed before Grandpa's portrait. "When Grandpa was alive, he told me that the children of the Graham family must stand tall and live with integrity. In the last five years, I haven't stolen, cheated, or taken advantage of anyone. I didn't leave because I was ungrateful;

The CEO'S Forgotten Promise

The CEO'S Forgotten Promise

“We’re stronger together. The family can be angry. The threats can come. We won’t break.” Sara looked into his eyes, drawing strength from him as the weight of the day pressed down on her. **"Just hold me to that promise, Kingsley. No matter how much your family hates me, no matter what Tom or those gunmen’s boss tries next… promise we’ll fight for each other and for what Grandma Eleanor believed in."**

I haven’t read this book yet. I liked the plot but skeptical to start as this book is not completed. I added this to my library and when it’s complete I will read as I am having a bad experience with a book where writer is just dragging the story with chapters which are just few pages in length

I’ve added to my library but refuse to read any book that is not completed. Very frustrated with updated chapters and unfortunately a few books over 600 chapters still not ending and updated chapters were just fluff. Once this is completed, will gladly read.

Bound By a Promise

Bound By a Promise

We all knew that despite the love and unions within our individual couples, we’d need to unite as one to take on the future. Thank you for reading BOUND BY A PROMISE. If you haven't read NOW AND FOREVER, Dario and Catalina's story, or TILL DEATH DO US PART, Alejandro and Mia's story, I hope you will. The next book in the Brutal Vows series is QUEENS AND MONSTERS, Rei and Jasmine's story.

There are A LOT of errors. And you can tell English isn't this Authors first language. The translations are off. BUUUUUT that didn't stop this book from being absolutely amazing. I am so glad I stuck it through. I feel none of the intimate scenes should have been skipped or shortened. Great Story

DEATH REINCARNATE

DEATH REINCARNATE

“‘DARK SKY’, the poem behind this painting I made just for you, which means a sad goodbye of never.” Woke up at another time, yet the recent reality of my life where Mike ends up leaving me behind without telling me why. And by which I am recalling the past that he is will me and that he is saying all of those promises that I am still holding on and tight. It then echoes, with the words. “Tsk! Promises are not meant to be broken. It is meant to be fulfilled.”

and she believed in me first. Scene – Springfield Fountain, Final Stop They circled the central fountain, each tossing a coin in without making a sound. “One wish?” Tessy asked softly. “No,” Helena said, smiling. “A promise.” They all looked at her. “That no matter what happens out there — with music, flying, law, or love — we come back. Here, or somewhere like it.” Greg reached for her hand. “We started this together,” Leo said, holding Tessy’s. “And we’ll keep writing the story,” Tessy whispered, her eyes shimmering.

A Promise He Never Kept

A Promise He Never Kept

"Mom said you guys moved. That can't be true, right?" The moment I heard his voice, it felt like the past came rushing back, hitting me all at once. Oliver's voice came fast and anxious. "You've lived there for decades, and my mom said she and your mom promised to stay best friends for life. "Maybe people just got it wrong. You're just traveling or something, right?" I kept my voice steady. "We moved, Oliver. We're a thousand miles away now." We were only renting for now and waiting for our new place to finish renovations so we could move in before the new year, but there was no reason to tell Oliver any of that. I would only answer what he asked.
