But when I give you something, it will be the truth.” She nodded. “Then give it to me.” Cassian leaned against the desk, arms crossed. “Your mother was not a victim of my family. She was a thief.” The word landed like a blade. “She stole something my grandfather built,” he continued. “Something powerful enough to ruin men like Damian Locke. Something he’s been circling for over a decade.” “The box,” Elara whispered. “Yes.” “And the key.” “Yes.” Her fingers curled into the sheet. “What’s inside it?”

She screamed. “Yes,” Ezra said softly. “Haon wasn’t just a cipher. He was a contingency. A fallback clone of Jian mixed with Chaewon’s extracted DNA. The perfect heir.” Jian staggered. Haon looked up at him. “Is that why I look like you?” Jian fell to his knees. “God,” he whispered. “What have we done?” He questioned. Ezra spread his arms. “You wanted truth? Now you drown in it.” Inside the Estate, Chaos exploded behind the doors. The heirs argued, fractured, furious. But Chaewon sat alone with Haon in the nursery.

My voice trembles. I stop. Take another breath. Try again. "I, Rowan, relinquish all ties to my Alpha and the pack he leads." The air around me suddenly grows heavy. The inside of the car becomes unbearably hot. "I release every bond willingly given..." Heat floods every inch of my body. "...and from this moment forward..." Kael drew in a quiet inhale as the surface of the water stilled again. This time, Voran’s face appeared, flanked by another elder Rin knew only in passing: Mara’s Nightfang counterpart, hair braided tight, eyes like polished stone. “Heir,” Voran said, nodding to Kael. His gaze swept to Rin as well, taking in the bruises, the set of her mouth. “Heir.” “Elder,” Kael said. “We’ve contained a significant cult cell near the pits. Report follows.” He kept it strict at first, Nightfang‑formal: locations, numbers, symbols. The manifesto they’d seized, outlining the “peaceborn heir” as central to the new doctrine. The way heir blood was framed as “corrective.”

The 'Chaotic Flames' which had the same history and was in itself, a powerful origin artefact more than capable of contending with the 'Book of Order', lived up to its name- and brought chaos. The history is a long one. I cannot say it all. All that is important is that the 'Chaotic Flames' won that long war. And true to his name, he singed the 'Book of Order', yet he couldn't destroy her. But its victory wasn't without cost. It was weakened as well. The weakened 'Book of Order' didn't let up though,

Chaister’s POV We came and visited Leirathe, and although I am more powerful than him, some sense of unease washed over me when our gazes met. There is something spooky about him, and whatever that foreboding crap was, it sent the jitters down my spine, although it shouldn’t have, for I am the Chaos. We celestials are usually out of ordinary tall, but this guy is an unusually stubby, short bloke.

“You are heir to more than Sterling blood. You are heir to the forgotten throne. Heir of the goddess cast aside.” Her throat tightened. “No… I’m just—” “You are the flame reborn,” the spirit interrupted, voice fierce. “And the world will bow. Ash to ash. Fire to fire. You will rise, or you will burn.” The fire surged higher, enveloping her in light. She felt heat course through her veins, fierce but not destroying. It was power. Claiming her. Becoming her. Tears blurred her vision. “I can’t—” “You already are,” the spirit whispered. “Queen of the Ashes. Heir of the Forgotten Goddess.”

I cried out in despair, "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I was wrong! I realize my mistake now! Please, just let my parents go." At that moment, Xander was suddenly shoved aside. A cold, sharp voice echoed above my head. "No, you're not the one at fault. They are." A black umbrella appeared over my head. Then, a soft, floral fragrance drifted toward me, and a handkerchief gently wiped the dirt from my face. As I looked up, a stunningly beautiful face came into view. For a moment, I forgot to cry. It was Stella Lawson, the current head of Lawson Group. She was Elian Lawson's illegitimate daughter and had always been looked down upon by the Lawsons.

Owen, who I had left with them to come and speak with her, shakes his head. I sigh and nod before walking out. He gives me a reassuring nod. “Maybe give a little time. She must be confused right now.” He says when we get to the car. I grumble an incoherent reply. Not in the best of moods. I didn't have much expectations for today, but I at least hoped I would be able to talk to her. We may not have planned this but that child is going to be my heir. She doesn’t know, but it is important to me that she keeps it.
