You will need to read the first two books before starting this one, but if you don’t want to, I did my best to make it as understandable as possible. Book #3, unlike books #1 and #2, is broader and cuts across many people, places, flashbacks and fields, not just Mia and Xavier. But it is all worth it to tell a beautiful story and bring its characters to life.

A few days later. Rose had significantly recovered from her trauma thanks to Matthew. Now she was sitting in the library, reading books as she usually would on a normal day. The book she was reading was titled: King of Chaos, The Scarlett King. The contents were about the characteristics of Leviticus Scarlett, his life story, his uprising and his end. Details including his family and empire were also written. Rose had the past few days learning about it. The door squeaked open and Matthew entered the library. He looked at the wall where the paint was not really matching in colour to the rest of it. Then he walked towards the table where Rose was sitting.

"Their mates would be their weakness. Their emotions would destroy them. Their hearts would never be free of pain until the bloodline of Roosevelt's Queen is restored." Micha's breath hitched. "That means… there's someone alive? Someone with that bloodline?" I didn't know. The book didn't say yet. But we weren't done reading. "And so, the war ended. Not because the realms won… but because the realms surrendered. Roosevelt became the King of Chaos. The dark-winged creatures became his army. The dragon, his weapon." The golden ink glowed brighter. "From that day, the realms were no longer equal."

She rushed over to him. "Can I have that back please," she asked nicely. Her saviour closed the book and tucked it under his arm. Trix's ears twitched as she clenched her jaw. "You know your not like other girls around in this kingdom," he stated watching Trix closely. She forced a giggle from the back of her throat that was not originally intended to be a giggle. "Whatever do you mean," she asked forcing a little sweetness into her voice. She couldn't lose that book. No matter how hot this guy was and how much she wanted to-

"Everything that Celestia and the Alliance have told you about this war and why it's happening is a lie." I narrowed my eyes on him, but he just took a breath before looking me square in the eye and continuing. "You saw the people in there. You saw how it's driving them mad, and forcing them to shift into their alter forms. The Beastial Kingdom didn't start this war; Celestia did. They corrupted our king on the day they were supposed to sign a peace treaty. They did something to him that forced his dragon to the surface in a blind rage, instantly voiding the treaty between kingdoms, and therefore restarting the war that we were trying to end. My fingers blackened with dust and soot as I moved deeper into the ruins. Histories. Deaths. Border disputes. Bloodlines I didn't recognize. Records old enough that the territories described in them looked nothing like the ones I knew. Nothing about the prophecy. I pulled another scorched book from beneath a collapsed shelf. Most of the cover was gone. I nearly tossed it aside. Then I saw the words pressed faintly into what remained of the leather. Royal Records of the Alpha Kings. I stopped. That was old. Very old. I held the book beneath the lantern's glow and carefully opened it.
