Apart from John, there were two starting characters, (or three) in the book, which are Khloe Dave and Maria The King Butt can as well be considered a starting character as he was present through most times. KHLOE DAVE Being the female lead with multiple personalities and weaknesses across chapters, Khloe Dave is one who still made her mark as confidently independent. Her first debut was made in the first chapter, tagged as the Prologue. Her role played in the book was having a close friendship with John, where as in it, they were tagged as best of friends. Khloe in the starting chapters was obviously, confident, bold, sassy and dominant. Her actions spoke for themselves, respectively.

Chapter 10: Claws and Crowns As I was about to leave the hall, the doors swung open and the guards marched in, escorting someone. It was the king. “All hail King Zarreth, first of his name,” one of the guards announced. I quickly slipped into the shadows of a corner. He walked with the arrogance of someone who believed the world belonged to him, shoulders high, chin lifted. How could he sleep peacefully after slaughtering innocent people like animals? My gaze burned with disgust.

“Some years from now you will be ruling over this kingdom, I have no doubt that you will make a great king.” The rain pouring filled the silence that followed before he spoke, his voice was firm, and I knew he meant every word. “But what if I would rather not be the next king?” He asked, glancing sideways, his towering figure looking down at me with desperate determination. “I don’t want to be a king. I’d rather go somewhere with you and live happily ever after, that’s what being a blue-blooded means, right? Having the freedom and will to do anything and get away with it.”
