Chapter 18 {7°Celsius} Diary part 2 I never thought I would meet him again but our destiny had different plans. I was again placed in front of him with head hung down Not daring to look into his eyes and focussing on his perfectly shining shoes instead. I was ashamed of myself. Ashamed of being so damn ignorant and lost while crossing the road. Ashamed of my own situation that made me stand here lost at the centre of the road waiting for death without even knowing it.

It was too toxic for me. As I walked in the woods, I could hear rustles. Today, the weather was cold which led to fog covering the path. I heard the rustles again. There was a scent I sniffled in. “Who’s there?” I said. He tossed me onto the wet, cold pavement outside the gate, the chains clinking shut behind me. I lay there for a moment, like a sinner exiled from heaven for unseen sins, my knees and elbows scraped raw. Slowly, I pushed myself up and trudged forward, a zombie in the deluge.
