Scarlett As I stood there, wrapped in Finn’s arms, a quiet sense of disbelief washed over me. Could this really be happening? After everything we had endured. Imre walk his way to Lex and Senan trying to stop them from what they were thinking to each other. "Stop with your nonsense conversation. We are at the Sanctuary of Life you need to give respect!" I grab three and haul them off the shelf, not expecting the weight that drags down my arms as I bring them to the table. Book after book, I find nothing on the Moonstone. There are a lot of other significant histories in here that I would love to come back and take more time with. But that’s for another time. Finn closes his current book and places it in his read stack before moving on to the next, and I follow his lead, grabbing the next book. “Woah,” I whisper as I reread the paragraph. “What did you find?” Finn asks laying his book down and leaning toward me.

“Hurry up though. I miss you lying next to me.” Her words made me smile but I couldn’t help worrying about Finn. My wolf wasn’t helping matters, feeling torn between staying with one of our mates or going after the other. I knew we couldn’t keep choosing between them this way. Something had to give soon. Curious to know what made Finnick so upset he would leave without a word, I walked over to the discarded item laying on the floor. It was a spiral bound book and in one glance I could see it was a journal or diary of some sort. I felt a pang of guilt knowing I was about to breach Sarah's privacy but my need to understand Finn’s actions overrode my better judgment.

Finn's POV (Special Chapter) I am the shadow to his sun. The echo to his roar. I am Finn Lancaster, the spare, the afterthought, the one who learned to move silently so as not to disturb the precious heir’s training. Ronan never had to learn silence. The world bent to make room for his voice.

Jacob said and then broke out in giggles. Finn looked through the pages of the book and felt like he was somehow intruding into her thoughts. She had pictures and notes of everything she wanted for her dream wedding. He got to the back of the book and raised his brows at her one more time, as there were pictures of what she wanted to wear on the honeymoon. She had excellent taste and his mouth watered as he pictured her in a few of the outfits.

Chapter Three Hundred and Thirty *The unexpected and Sad Revelation* Finn's (once Drake but will be called his real name henceforth)hammered as he paced the narrow room with the burner phone clutched tightly in his right hand and his left hand frantically raking through his sandy brown hair. Every creak of the floor, every rustle outside the window, seemed like it could be Fergus’s men clawing closer. They were running out of time. With the government closing in and Fergus’s rage nearly tangible, Finn knew their only chance was to reach out to someone who could help them disappear.

"Why is everyone looking like this?" Finn, still in my arms, tugged at my collar, pulling back to look at me. "Mommy, look," he whispered, pointing at the book Theo was holding. "That’s the broken wing I saw. The day I saw things from the water in the garden.” My heart skipped a beat. I gently set Finn down and went ahead to collect the book Theo was holding. I looked down at the page he left open in between his fingers. It was an old record of Northern myths and mercenary guilds. On the open page was the sketch of a single, snapped wing.
