Charise watched too frowning. “Scared of a storm?” Elaina asked trying to change the topic. “It won’t hurt you I promise.” “I’m not scared.” Charise growled standing up with her empty cup and apple core. “I thought I saw something.” Elaina felt her blood run cold at Charise’s words. She thought she saw something, was it the same something that she had seen not even ten minutes ago? Shivering she stared out into the black morning waiting for a flash of lightening to illuminate the scene. When it did she found that there wasn’t anything out there. The story became intense as the kids in the family started acting possessed one by one, leaving their guardians to solve the problem. There were a lot of jump scares throughout the film so I couldn’t help the occasional squeals escaping my throat. I was at the edge of screaming my lungs out as we were heading on the climax part of the movie. My grip on the pillow tightened even more as I predicted another jump scare because of the disturbing music playing at the background. Florian chuckled beside me. Charlie’s mouth was warm, and for a second she forgot where they were. Who they were. The weight of him anchored her to the mattress, his breath mingling with hers. Her heart hammered wildly in her chest, a chaotic rhythm that seemed to say: this is happening, this is happening, this is happening. Then, just as suddenly as it had begun, Charlie jerked away. He pushed himself up, eyes wide with something that looked like horror. “I…” He cleared his throat, already moving backward. “Sorry. I tripped.”

Her scream almost shaking the whole buding in terror Suddenly, Charlotte’s body became light, and she hit the ground. Derik grabbed her immediately. Her whole body itched and burned. A pain she has never experienced before seemed to have been awakened in her. She groaned as her body twisted in strange directions.

Lexie's POV: My scream caught in my throat before it ever reached the air. One moment I was standing on the hilltop, smiling faintly as the wind danced through my hair and the horizon stretched endlessly before me… and the next, the ground had vanished beneath my feet. The world tilted violently as I stumbled forward, arms flailing, heart leaping into my mouth. I didn’t trip, I knew that for sure… I was pushed.

I felt when Kendall's nails burst the soft cream-colored fabric around my torso, and I got scared when I realized how her eyes were jumping, passing through Charlie's body with incredible speed.
