Finally, after running as fast as we could with the scorpions on the chase, we saw the portal, but we had to jump high to get there. “You go first, prepare to jump!” Lucien shouted, and I began to prepare for a rather huge jump. However, as we got closer, I felt the scorpions on me. Lucien let out a grunt, and I knew a few of them had caught up to him too. “Damn!” I shouted, and jumped high, reaching the circular portal, and climbing in. I waited on the very edge, trying not to fall. “Here. Take my hand!” I screamed, stretching out my hand to Lucien, who had more scorpions catching up to him.
