It's Fine, I am Fine!

It's Fine, I am Fine!

I said with more confidence. "With face it is" "Thanks" "What is your story about anyway?" he leaned closer to the table and put his arms on it. "It's a romance novel and I would like to refer to it as such. Despite the pornographic details on it. It's a story of a bad boy falling for an innocent and fragile girl. He's a wild spirit and she is conservative... two opposites attract" I giggled and I didn't even know why. "They have sex like crazy in every position I could think of, anywhere and every time they meet" I kept giggling like a little girl and he smiled like he enjoyed our conversation. That was good...

A Second Chance at Romance

A Second Chance at Romance

It seemed as if the entire world revolved around Misty and Cedric. The supporting characters seemed to lack their own independent thoughts. They merely acted in line with the plot and engaged in various malicious behavior that made no sense at all. Perhaps no one truly cared about their genuine feelings. It seemed as if nobody in this world knew how to navigate the complexities of real life. Nevertheless, Hannah was aware that this world was much more than just a romance novel. Each character had their own story alongside their joys and sorrows. She wanted to explore the world and see it with her own eyes.

Hearing that, the Editor-in-Chief also agreed: "Okay, I'll give you the manuscript, you look at it, I guarantee you will be able to do it." Having said that, she gave her the manuscript. Daisy watches the character introduction, which describes the male lead as cold, noble, and unpredictable. Previously, she also drew male protagonists like that, but this male protagonist also has another point: a somewhat strange personality and is easily agitated. Reading this, she thought of Atlas, but he has some child-like details. Although the male main character in the story has not read it yet, looking at the description, she has the feeling that he must be a mature and thoughtful person. After all,

My Next Life As A Wicked Dame (ENGLISH)

My Next Life As A Wicked Dame (ENGLISH)

My conscience won't be able to take it. I might feel a little bit guilty for Zen because of the unexpected ambush by the bandits, but he's an adult. He can do it himself, he's not a kid anymore. And I have deep affection on this character. Aside from Lord Ethan and Gina who was the main character, this is the third person I knew who was part of the novel. It made me slightly relax and breathe a sigh of relief. Staying in this world almost made me lost in time and comfort. I even caught myself doubting if I was really in the book. I almost got scared because of the unknown but thanks to the existence of this kid, I got my footing and sense back.

My Boyfriend's Cousin

My Boyfriend's Cousin

The first novel I read was by Louisa May Alcott; Little Woman, and then moved on to other feminist novels such as Handmaid's Tale and Pride and Prejudice—the book I'm holding right now. Well, I shouldn't be going around the library looking for a novel I like because what I'm supposed to be doing is taking care of a crazy bastard named Rhysand del Millero, who's on the phone. But I don't want to do that. I'd rather buy time with the books in front of me until the helicopter he's waiting for comes over to the bullshit he started. Damn, I hate this situation. I hate being stuck with a domineering, powerful man who loves to be heard more than to hear, and hates that I can't do anything.

SOLD TO THE DISABLED ALPHA

SOLD TO THE DISABLED ALPHA

She didn't experience happiness and always got tormented in this damn family. Hah, I need to face the reality that I got transmigrated to this novel called ‘In the name of Psychopaths.’ Yes, it was categorized by the author as romance but when I read it, it was filled with bloody scenes and gore. The character in the story are all annoying, but I continued reading it. The protagonist of this story is Marva Alvid and the male lead of this is Patrick Raynell. If there's a female lead and a male lead, there is also a psychopath villain and its name is Phoenix Valcarcel.

“They like happy endings—just like mystery book readers—but romance readers care more about the character than the plot. mystery and thrillers deal with how to solve the crime, the puzzle, and stop the bad guy. romance is usually about emotion — which I don't know how to write well — and the development of character, two people overcoming adversity and conquering love. Conquer love. With Jeffrey, I felt like love had miraculously landed on the Conquer love. With Jeffrey, I felt like love had miraculously landed on the my door. So, when things got tough, I assumed that he never really had me. loved. None of us grew an inch from the moment we met to the the day we got divorced. I had grown old

Ami?
This book is crazyyyyy!!! Like crazily gooodd!! Thriller/mystery along with romance, everything is perfectly balanced. Wt I really like about this book is the second male lead is not obsessively obsessed with her like typical novels. I also love the fact that she is a strong independent woman?
Raven the lurker
The author never ceases from surprising you The start is very well written and it hasn't followed the typical plotline yet so I'm waiting for where this is going and how the author will continue this novel So if you are looking the reviews to see should you read this novel I would say yes you should

This is just a minor concern of mine that I want to address. This is a free-chapter and this is also the newest feature that goodnovel added recently, so I might use it to give you some extra knowledge (Glossary, military structure, plot points, character descriptions) in the future. Since there are so many characters running around in the story now, it might get confusing to keep track of all of them just from their names. Let me know if you like this idea. Thanks much and Happy Reading

Still coming along nicely. The Archie plot has hot a good point. I feel there is more to come with Rain in the story and I like that. It is good to acknowledge the news spread of his accomplishments beating down Archie, but I would shorten the side conversations of the random people.
Erika Delevine
I'm honestly surprised that this story doesn't have more views and reviews. It's well-written, moves at a relaxing pace and the author did an amazing job with the descriptions. The characters has great depth, personalities that stand out. It is also clean and well-edited.

Embracing the Devil

Embracing the Devil

I asked inside my mind. I stretched my mimic muscles forming a dumb smile, trying to find the words to describe my novel, that wouldn't give him any stupid ideas… But, I instantly got tired of making it all too complicated. “It's about revenge. My main character lost his loved one and he kills everyone who was the part of the plot,” I stated, letting it all go. After all, there were a lot of stories like that before. Acting suspicious about the subject of my novel could only make my situation worse.

Frequently Asked Questions

It’s a spectrum more than a strict binary, but you can usually feel it in how the book makes you turn pages. Story-driven stuff grabs you with what happens next—a conspiracy unraveling, a quest progressing, a mystery’s clues stacking up. The characters serve the plot; their choices feel like they’re steering you toward the next set piece. Think of a lot of classic thrillers or epic fantasy. The protagonist might be competent but somewhat generic, because the focus is on the grand events unfolding.

Character-driven work is the opposite. The plot often emerges from who these people are, their flaws and desires clashing. The ‘story’ might be as simple as a family weathering a crisis, but the tension comes from internal change, not external threat. You keep reading because you’re invested in whether they’ll grow or self-destruct. The pacing can feel slower, but the emotional payoff is different, more intimate. I find myself remembering the people from character-driven books long after I’ve forgotten the intricate plots of some story-driven ones.

Of course, the best novels blend both. 'The Count of Monte Cristo' has a phenomenal, intricate plot driven entirely by one man’s transformative bitterness. The story is the character. But when analyzing, I look at the engine: is the primary forward motion coming from events happening to the characters, or from the characters’ decisions shaping events?
