Harry raced for the remote, immediately changing the channel to a cartoon station. “Mom's lying! I can't feel my legs!” He whined, settling beside Vicky. “I know right?” Vicky giggled, touching his hair. “I'm going to make breakfast.” Charlene announced, walking into the kitchen. “Oh, I'll join you!” Vicky hopped off the couch and joined Charlene who had already entered the kitchen. They started making the base for the waffles but Vicky couldn't help but stare at Charlene. “Okay, what's wrong? You've been staring at me.” Charlene asked, adding milk into the bowl.

“Ah, that explains it.” Both siblings exchanged a conspiratorial glance, their amusement evident as they leaned casually against the pillar. They shared a silent agreement—an unspoken decision to watch the unfolding drama with a hint of playful cruelty, leaving Charlotte to navigate the impending chaos on her own. She has a while to go until her birthday which is in the summer and we're in the fall now and school has just started up again.
