YES NURSE
Gable stepped right up to the edge of the porch with a bright smile spreading across her wrinkled face.
“Oh, darling, leaving so soon?” the old woman called out.
Chase stopped dead in his tracks, a spark of mischievous victory flashing in his eyes. He knew old women would definitely invite him over for dinner.
He instantly whipped around and rushed right back toward the porch, putting on his best, deeply sorrowful puppy-dog face.
“Yes, ma’am, unfortunately,” Chase sighed, faking a deeply tragic sadness as he gestured toward Spirit.
“Browne here is being super mean. She doesn’t want me to have dinner with you guys, so I guess I’ll just go starve in my car.”
