Shadow Bound

Shadow Bound

“You think you’re the only one?” “You wound me, Delia,” Gray chuckles. She slaps his arm playfully, letting him know it's time to get serious. He straightens up, as all signs of amusement snap from his face in a split second and holds still while she goes to work on the chain in his hands. She places both of her hands a few inches above the metal and whispers some incantation until a low blue glow can be seen from underneath her palms. When the glow fades she moves her warm copper brown hands and sighs.

SCAR OF SCANTHIN

SCAR OF SCANTHIN

And they were going to pay with their blood. At last, Clint rounded on the final goblin who'd attacked them. Their grey, slate-like skin was natural to the underground cities where the goblins preferred to live. "W-wait!" the goblin screeched in her familiar, high-pitched whine. "My liege!" Damon stopped. His haunches raised, every hair on his body on end, he stared down at the small goblin who'd come here. Defied him. Attacked him.

Hidden in the Shadows

The silence that fell in the room was so thick it could have been cut with a knife, even Gabriel who’d been on the phone looked sick. She was getting a weird vibe from them and wasn’t sure why, she should have known this would be a mistake. She asked cautiously “Should I leave, I’m stirring up things that probably should have been left alone.” It was Justin who cleared his throat and said “No, you’re good. They are just a little bit shocked at, the moment.” Michael rushed to say “Gabriel, I think you have another phone call to make.”

The Substitute Villainess

The Substitute Villainess

With each step Chelsea heard the sloshing sounds of their boots against the wet ground , just ahead of them they could hear sounds of scampering and loud yells for help . They exchanged worried glances with each other and rushed in the direction of the voice . A little far away in a small opening , Lord Leopold Garcia was leaning against a tree , with a look of extreme terror on his face. He was surrounded by what Chelsea thought were goblins in loincloth at least they looked like Goblins - their skin was bottle green , they were stretching their long elongated fingers as if considering whether or not to put them around Lord Garcia 's throat and silence him altogether . Some of them were sni

Beneath the Shadows

Beneath the Shadows

Luca reclined on the couch in the Falcone’s residence, one leg propped up on a cushioned stool. The faint edge of a bandage peeked out beneath the collar of his shirt, evidence of the wound still healing beneath. Lucia toddled across the rug with determined little steps, a stuffed giraffe clutched in her chubby hands. Her giggle echoed through the room, bright and triumphant. “Hey there, bambina,” Luca said, his lips tugging into a grin. “You bringing that to me, or is it a bribe?”

The Shining Moon Curse

The Shining Moon Curse

(Author’s POV) Daimon’s sharp eyes darted around the crumbling chamber, his expression darkening. His monstrous army shifted uneasily, growling in confusion as the shaking intensified. Then, with a deafening crack, a hole formed in the air…just like the ones Daimon used to traverse realms. But this one was different, its edges glowing with a fierce golden light that seemed to purify the dark energy surrounding it.

These leaves would then turn into a butterfly and flew in circles before gluing back to its branch. The process repeated. At its back, glittered the glass-like carriages, the Shorne of different size and color stood beside it, eating grasses. From beyond the horizon lain a magical mountain that twisted and rolled, its colors exploding on the land before it. “Wow,” Blame exclaimed, unable to help herself. “It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” “It does. I can just stay here all day and fill my eyes with its wonder.” Hail just stared at her face, thinking. Even though he pledged he wouldn’t doubt her again, he couldn’t help it. She’s giving him all the reasons to question her identity.

Probably the most challenging story I have written. With about 5 drafts and two years of crafting, it’s my longest work. It’s thrilling. I revisit it sometimes and, he, even I get overwhelmed and awed. I mean, it feels like I’m not the one who wrote it.

I love the world building of this novel! Even when you’re only in chapter one you can already see how the author meticulously planned the settings of the story. It’s descriptive so even if the world is new and unfamiliar the readers could still easily imagine what it’s like.

The Dark Below

The Dark Below

All three cuts only second apart from one another which leaves little time of reprieve for the goblin. Garth slides his instrument as if it’s a conducting wand. The tip of the knife coiled around the goblin’s thigh this time. Teasing another painful strike to the body and thus all the other cuts once again. Though for now the pain is gone from the sudden rewind but still it leaves the goblin breathless. That it is, before the final flay of his flesh can surface the creature looks at Garth as if his life is placed in the stranger’s hand of unforeseen events. The way the goblin speaks is breathless due to the remembrance of the pain just moments ago. “Just outside the port, northeast from her…

The Chosen One

The Chosen One

They were massive, with vicious red eyes, six to seven-foot-tall battle-scarred goblins with black skin and fire erupting from their eyes, they were worshiped not out of adoration but fear. The beasts could see in dim light within hundred feet like a vampire as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. But they could distinguish color in darkness, only shades of gray. Knowing this little fact, Celestina cast a spell that would be the disadvantage of their gigantic enemies. Even though it was draining her, she was able to conjure a spell, enough that could blind the varmints. She realized she doesn't stand a chance in close combat so she did what she knew was the best

BLAIR

BLAIR

“Even so, just them knowing that you all are nearby makes them scared to come out.” “That’s not our fault! They’re the ones that are scared to even meet us. We don’t mean any harm! We just want to live here in peace! If you’re talking about food, there more where that came from! So why!” The goblin shouted and shouted and eventually, it broke into tears. This was very unexpected, in fact shocking to Yuki. ‘A goblin is…. Crying? No, this could just be an act but…’ The goblin was on its knees and was trying to hold back its tears however they kept flowing. It was mumbling something that Yuki could not understand.
