Wrecking My Husband

Wrecking My Husband

Chapter 42: A Bottle of Whiskey and Chess [2] Taking a sip of her whiskey, she said, "Let's get serious. I have an addition to the plan." I made my move first. "What's that?" "Not now," she held back. "Serena, do you think it is important to know about all the pawns on the chess board to win?" "Of course, the more you know, the easier it'll be to win."

The Queen's Pawns

The enemies were just five meters away and they’re all hiding themselves in the debris. Hellion counted in her hands as she nonchalantly tossed away the nonsensical book in her arms. Never mind the charm of it bringing her to a dangerous place. The book has been shining in purple light since she held onto it. As long as she get rid of the damn book sooner then she would be fine.

The Return of Luna

The Return of Luna

Emma calmly replied, "They are evenly matched, both skilled chess players. To determine a winner, they must endure a long and arduous battle." She said so, but in her heart, she understood that a chess game was like a person's life. Playing chess reveals a person's true character most genuinely. Alpha Jeffn excelled in strategy and subtlety, proficient in various aspects. His only weakness was overthinking and needing to be more cautious. As for Edward, his character was too straightforward; his intelligence matched his wit. But he was vulnerable to being exploited by others due to his lack of caution. If he faced an opponent like Alpha Jeffn, even a slight lapse of concentration would resul

The Billionaire's Secretary.

The Billionaire's Secretary.

I probably shouldn’t but… “Do you play Chess?” He asks suddenly, startling me. “I know the moves but that’s about it.” “Follow me.” He leads me to the center of the study where a large table is. In the middle of the table is a chessboard that looks like it was carved from marble. The pieces themselves are shiny ivory and look expensive enough to pay my salary. “Everyone knows how powerful the lead pieces are,” he explains as he begins moving the king and queen, “But they’re not the most powerful.”

Rejected to be His Luna

Rejected to be His Luna

[Zeve’s POV] “Check mate,” Amor said. “Oh man! I lost again!” Ez ruffled his hair, looking at the chess pieces in front of him. Amor sat leisurely, folding his hand across his chest. “You are only concentrating on your strategies, but you should also be able to comprehend what your opponent is thinking and then make probabilities. Chess is a lot more than just being good with your pieces. You will win once you can play the game not just with your pawns, but with the pawns of your opponent as well.”

Absolutely loved reading this and I’m hoping there will be sequels that will answer some of the questions about some of the characters and what’s happened to them. Love the twists & turns plus it’s not a predictable plot. It’s not like other books so it’s refreshing.

Hockey Alphas - Pawns For Pucks

Hockey Alphas - Pawns For Pucks

Far beyond. Adrien's opening move was my first hint that he was no amateur. I countered by developing my pieces, trying to control the center of the board, but he quickly evaded, moving his bishop into a strong position. It was clear that every move he made was calculated and informed, strategy you'd expect from a seasoned chess player.

RITUAL MATE GAMES: FATED ENEMIES

RITUAL MATE GAMES: FATED ENEMIES

the Game master asked me I looked at the two colors and this time, allowed my intuition leads me, thus I picked the black piece. The game master initiated the first move which was the first pawn that laid at the front of his king and in return, she moved the first pawn that laid at the front of her knight. I remembered the goal that Dawson had briefed her about, ensure you notice his mistakes and so she moved her bishop piece to the point aiming at his right rook piece. The game master hesitated a bit and then moved his knight upwards. One of the rules that I had learned from Dawson was to ensure that she picked a piece in accordance of their rating.
