My Hockey Ex Rigged the Dating Show?

My Hockey Ex Rigged the Dating Show?

I took a deep breath and walked right up to my designated board, and looked down at the pieces. My mind was still fuzzy from the heavy physical lifting of the previous station, but I forced my brain to clear. I played chess with my grandfather when I was a kid. He always taught me to look three steps ahead, and to see the invisible traps. The most important one wss to never rush a King. The white pieces were trapped in a classic corner defense. The black king was guarded by a rook and a pawn wall. Move one. If I moved the white queen to the diagonal square, it would look like an open attack, but it was actually a decoy. The black rook would immediately capture it.

I Never Regretted Leaving You

I Never Regretted Leaving You

Theo played chess quite casually, making moves as he pleased. And Thea, being a beginner, although she racked her brains, was purely playing chess with technicality. She memorized a bunch of formulas but didn't understand adaptability. She didn't set up traps and didn't understand defense, always charging forward. Her level was similar to that of a kindergarten.

i think the author needs to focus on finishing books rather than leaving lots of unfinished ones that leave your readers hanging and we do not want that. you would gain more followers and readers if you can concentrate on one story at a time and finish each book. more ongoing than completed books
SillyRabbit
This is one heck of a story. It has romance, betrayal, revenge, time travel, robots and tons of dramatic twists and turns. There are some translation mistakes here and there but overall, it’s well written.

he asked me. “What?” I asked him back. “When you play, what do you often think about or feel?” he asked me. “Uhh. Well, to win?” “Aside from winning,” he said. “To save the King?” He sighed again. “Chess is a game where the player has an advantage. They can see the whole structure of the game, unlike when you do sports,” he explained. “The thing is, don’t let your eyes be blinded by the fact that you’re a beginner and you can’t win against me. I know what you’re thinking. I really hate people who give up easily when they knew they’d end up losing.”

CLAIMED BY THE MAFIA BUTCHER

CLAIMED BY THE MAFIA BUTCHER

It was all very intriguing. I studied her, making a mental note to start writing down things I've noticed about her. Why? Because I feel like it. It felt right. “Let's start with this,” she said pointing at the chessboard. I chuckled and opened the board. Deliberately arranging the pieces wrong. “That's not how it's to be arranged.” She said. “Watch this…this is the white rook, it goes here…this is a black bishop, this piece goes here.” She continued.

My Alpha and his three wives

“Never mind about that, you'll soon find out. “ He assured, and almost immediately some guards came in with a brownish board and laid it in the center of i and Alaric. As they turned the board, I finally knew what the game was, just as Alaric had presumed. Chess! This was my favorite game whenever I was bored and just cleared my head of some eerie thoughts. Only when it wasn't available that I resorted to books, and I'm just guessing what had happened. Perhaps Alaric and Mirable must have caught up in some way, and she disclosed her intentions of getting me a book, so he picked chess as a remedy. “Not a bad idea.” I said slowly, smiling as I used my fingers to trail lines on it. “I never mak

Cathy nodded in response, Carter smiled and rubbed a handful of Cathy's head before turning towards the front door. Now only Cathy, Old Mr.Melville, and Kyle were left in the house, after the grandparents and grandchildren had finished their breakfast they went to the living room, the living room had been set up with a chess table. Cathy was a little bit excited, she had never been exposed to chess before, and she was a little bit curious to observe the pieces on the board, she found out that those chess pieces were wooden, she didn't know what kind of wood they were made of. It seemed to have a very good luster and a soft sheen, and it looked like it felt good in the hand. "Cathy, so now I'

The Billionaire's Secretary.

The Billionaire's Secretary.

I probably shouldn’t but… “Do you play Chess?” He asks suddenly, startling me. “I know the moves but that’s about it.” “Follow me.” He leads me to the center of the study where a large table is. In the middle of the table is a chessboard that looks like it was carved from marble. The pieces themselves are shiny ivory and look expensive enough to pay my salary. “Everyone knows how powerful the lead pieces are,” he explains as he begins moving the king and queen, “But they’re not the most powerful.”

“I’ll be the Aristotle to your Plato. I’m prepared for my to begin with lesson.” She balanced the table. All but four pieces were on the board, lined up in flawless small columns. “Well, it’s all around securing the ruler. He’s this one and this is his queen.” He tuned in as she portrayed how each piece moved and what their limits were. “This is the knight. Of all the pieces, he and the ruler are my favorites.” “Why?”

Wolf Den

He continued glancing at Ash things as his gazed fell on the tiny box that was putted beside his drawer. Just then Alexander widened his eyes as he realized everything. How everything was just . . . perfect. He picked up the box as he walked towards the kitchen table. As he sat there he opened the box and picked up the chess pieces and putted them in their desired position. After a few minutes of studying the chess pieces he began moving its pieces, starting from the pawn. He was moving the pieces back and forth with both sides on the chess board. As he continued his little game he couldn't help but flashed a sinister smile as the plan on his head was slowly becoming to immortalize. In an in
